Mandy is in her room and is upset, Lisa is trying to comfort her Mandy
is explaining how she thought Paddy was different because all other men
she went out with used to treat her like a joke

Paddy is asleep at the Lad’s cottage.

Betty is at the diner with Kathy, she is explaining about the money and
the mortgage. She wants to know who left her the money and is wondering
why they don’t make themselves known

The vicar is organising a fun run and is in the Post Office asking Viv
whether she wants to help. She makes her excuses but volunteers Kim as
she comes in. Kim invites the Vicar round for a drink and Ashley
accepts.

The boys are giving Paddy advice on how to get back together with
Mandy. Roy suggests he finds someone else. Paddy says he wants Mandy.
Roy: She’s chucked ya, deal with it.

Lisa worried about Mandy, asks Zak’s advice. Zak offers to break
Paddy’s legs for her. Mandy says she might take him up on it. Lisa
asks if she is sure she is alright. More Mandy thinks about it, Paddy
let the family down not just Mandy, not worth worrying herself over it.
Didn’t give them the money cause they are Dingles.

Paddy brings some stuff to the surgery. Zoe realises she has chucked
him out, says she would have never offered him the partnership. Paddy
asks if he can stay with her for a night, Mandy will come round. Rest
of the Dingles not his responsibility. Thinks its just a stupid
argument.

Kim and Steve leave for work. Steve worried that the vicar is too
bright to test the plan on. Kim says that’s the idea. Steve having
second thoughts, all seems too easy.

Will is trying to organise the entertainment for his party. Scott and
Roy want strippers. Terry suggests kareoke and Will is quite taken by
it. Alan and Zoe are talking about Betty’s windfall, Biff comes in and
they talk to him about it, he says he has no idea who gave it to them.
Zoe tells him about them being turned down for a mortgage, Biff’s face
falls.

Tara is in a bridal shop. Some simpering shop assistant recognises her
and follows her round the shop telling her how Michael is such a catch
and how lucky she is. Tara backs out of trying dresses on and bolts out
of the shop.

Zoe realises Biff gave Betty the money and is quizzing him on where he
got it from. Biff explains about the bike but says he doesn’t want
Betty to know as she’s only give it back. Zoe tells him that all that
is stopping the mortgage is her age. Biff realises that if someone else
got the mortgage then it would be fine.

Tara is knocking at Biff’s door. Kathy comes over and tells her to
leave him alone. Tara upset and wants to talk to him. Tara says she
can’t marry Michael cause she still loves Biff.

ADVERTS

Kathy asking how Tara could be so stupid. She wants to talk to Biff
tell him it was a mistake. Kathy tells her that Biff will end up hating
her. Kathy asks why he finished it, all she cares about is her money
and her social status. Tara tells her that its Biff she cares about.
Kathy tells her that Biff no longer cares for her. Tara replies by
telling her she loves him. Michael rings on the mobile phone. Tara
lies about where she is and asks to call him back. Kathy tells her she
doesn’t love him, she’s just been choosing her wedding dress. She asks
her to go and leave Biff alone.

Steve and Kim go over the plan once more. He is to wait 5 minutes at
the stud and then run to the crossroads. The vicar arrives, the two of
the are on edge. Kim lets him in.

Kathy susses that Biff gave Betty the money and tells him about the
mortgage. He tells her that he is going to apply for Betty’s mortgage
and become her landlord. Kathy thinks it’s a great idea. She starts
asking questions about him getting back together with Tara. She puts it
to him that what if she changed her mind about the wedding. Biff is
adamant to Kathy that he is getting on with his life and Tara can get on
with hers, he doesn’t care anymore. He asks why she is asking. She
says she is wondering if he is really over her, he says he is but
doesn’t look sure. They make a dinner date to celebrate his new found
freedom.

Kim and Steve are talking to the vicar when Steve tells them he is off
to make some phonecalls. Kim makes a show of complaining about it to
him and then tells Ashley that Steve spends all his life dealing with
business. Steve is then shown dropping out of the upstairs window.

Paddy is round at the Dingles trying to get Mandy to talk to him. She
tells him how he has made an idiot out of them. No-one takes her for a
ride, not even Paddy. He tells her that he’s doing it for both their
futures. Mandy tells him they don’t have one and throws pig swill at
him. Paddy tells her that she deserves everything she gets.

Kim is listening to the vicar’s life story. She tries to look
interested but keeps checking her watch. The vicar apologises for
boring her but she asks him to carry on with his story. He comments on
how quiet Steve is.

The guard is checking the stables at Home Farm, Steve is waiting behind
a bush.

Paddy is telling Zoe how things went with Mandy. He is angry cause she
won’t listen to him. He complains how she reduces everything to how it
will affect the Dingles. He decides that from now on she is on her own.

Steve checks in the front door of the cottage and then climbs up to the
window. Kim is checking her watch again and the vicar notices. He
makes his excuses to leave so Kim offers him another glass of wine.
Ashley tells her how much he enjoyed the evening. Steve comes
downstairs, Ashley comments on how quiet he has been.

Mandy is crying in her rooms.

The vicar mentions the fun run and Steve tells him to put him down. The
vicar then leaves. Steve tells Kim that it took him 35 minutes but next
time he’ll have the horsebox so it’ll be about 30 mins. Kim says she is
unsure of the plan cause Ashley kept mentioning how quiet he was. James
is heard to cry through the baby monitor. Kim suggests they record
Steve making his calls and then he sets the tape off when he leaves the
cottage.

If the Vicar was still around I'm sure he'd post some funny remarkable
remark about the above, perhaps something like this,

When Steve told me to put him down, I thought he meant literally your
honour. ;)

bUTCH dINGUL.
