As time goes on with Emmerdale, and also with watching old Emmerdale
alongside it, I find myself more and more desperate to give Kathy a damn
good slap. She's so bloody perfect and annoying at the moment, and
above everything and everyone else. I think rather than all her
husbands leaving her or dying, maybe she should just leave instead.

Eric's Flat
Marlon comes round, asks how his night was in the police station. He is
quite calm about it all, says he was doing the police a favour keeping
the kids off the street. He's accepted he's going to lose his license
but he tells Marlon he has some solutions. He's going to give Kathy a
sob story and get the license in her name.

Post Office
Kirsty comes round to get Donna, whilst Viv is calling her, Kirsty fills
her pockets with chocolate.

Tearooms
Betty is gloating over Eric. Kathy is looking strained and thoughtful
(AGAIN!!). Betty notices she is distant, its not about the business.
She asks Betty if Biff is seeing anyone. Betty covers it over, but
Kathy says she is worried he is keeping secrets from her (does Kathy
need to know everything???). Betty tells her if she is that bothered
then to ask him herself.

Pub
Heather and Terry are eating breakfast, been avoiding Alan. Heather
says she feels like she has come along and wrecked a marriage. Alan
comes in and gives them both the cold shoulder. He talks about the
weather, says they need to have a chat. Terry stops him and says that
what is going on between himself and Heather is none of Alan's
business. Terry walks out, leaving Heather and Alan at the table.

Outside Annie's cottage
Biff is putting the rubbish out, Kathy walks up.
KATHY: You got a minute?
BIFF: Yeah, everything alright?
K: Is anyone in?
B: Well, Marlon's at work, Will's out running. Why?
K: Are you sleeping with Tara?
B: [looks shocked] Blimey, what gave you that idea?
K: Are you?
B: No
K: So what I saw last night was just my imagination?
B: You what?
K: Come on Biff, don't lie to me
B: Yeah, you're right, what's the point. We've been seeing each other
for about a month.
K: Why didn't you tell me?
B: Well, I wasn't sure whether it was going to last.
K: And is it?
B: I don't know. It seems to be going alright at the moment.
K: Can't pretend I'm not shocked. (THE WOMAN WENT OUT WITH A MAN, WHO'S
WIFE WAS A BLOKE!!!)
B: Why?
K: Well the Oakwell's were involved with what happened to Linda.
B: Look Kathy, I never meant for any of this to happen, its taken me by
surprise myself.
K: But Tara, of all people.
B: You'd like her if you got to know her.
K: Yeah?
B: Yeah, look why don't we go out for a drink tonight, just you and me.
K: No, don't think so. I need to spend some time with Alice. I'll see
you around. [Starts to walk away]
B: Hey, we were good last night, weren't we.
K: We won didn't we? Are you sure you know what you are getting
involved with?
B: Can't help how I feel.
K: If it gets out Biff, it won't just be your feelings you have to worry
about. I'll see you

Wine Bar
Eric says he plans to carry on as normal and that it was an honest
mistake. He lets Marlon help Betty out, says he's turning over a new
leaf.

Pub
Alan stomps into the lounge where Lynne is sat. He says the tip pot is
empty and accuses Kirsty of stealing it, says he will tell Heather.
Lynne manages to talk him out of it and says she will talk Kirsty about
it. He says that ok, but if something else happens he'll have to tell
Heather. Lynne says how grateful they are for him taking them in and
how its been such a bad year for her mum and telling her about Kirsty
will make it worse.

Tearooms
Marlon takes Kathy aside and tells her what Eric is planning about the
licence. He tries to convince her to tell Eric no and buy him out of
the business cheap.

ADVERTS

Pub
Alan tells Terry to stop avoiding him. Alan tells him he's repeating
the same bad pattern, trying to take on a ready made family and the kids
always get hurt. He says he regards Terry as more than a collegue, to
which Terry replies that he's not his type. Alan says that Heather
isn't the right woman for him.

Tearooms
Kathy and Marlon are in the kitchen. She is saying how buying Eric out
is a very tempting but what is in it for Marlon. He says that he's not
all that bad, and he can't stand the way Eric has been treating Kathy
and talking about her behind her back. He tells her he set Eric up and
he was the one who called the police.

Street
Kelly comes home in a taxi, meets Roy. She can't remember what
happened. Roy quizzes her about the gig at the club. She tells him to
come inside the Post Office.

Bridge
Kirsty is sat by the river eating the chocolate. Lynne comes over and
sits down. She says she knows that no friend in trouble exists and
tries to get her to tell her what is wrong. Kirsty shrugs her off and
tells her to leave her alone. Lynne tells her she can't help her if she
doesn't tell the truth.

Home Farm
Kim is ripping into Steve about putting her and James in danger. She
says how he always takes to risk and everyone else gets the consequences
and if he every does anything like that again then she'll leave and
he'll never see her and James again.

Post Office
Kelly tells Roy that the club bloke thinks he is old fashioned and
useless.

Tearooms
Kathy serves Biff and Tara
TARA: Thank you very much
BIFF: Thanks
T: So Kathy actually saw us did she?
B: Is this the right place to be discussing this?
T: What did she say?
B: She wanted to know how long it had been going on.
T: And you told her?
B: I had no choice, she's my mate, I couldn't lie to her.
T: Mmmm, how good a mate?
B: I don't know. We've been through a lot together.
T: Are you sure she hasn't got desires on you.
B: Kathy? We've got past all that, she's like my sister.
T: So does anyone else know about us?
B: Yeah [sheepish] Betty.
T: Betty? Knows about us? Oh, we might as well take an advert out in
the Hotton Courier!
B: As far as I know she hasn't told anyone.
T: For how long?
B: I don't know, I mean, does it matter?
T: Oh, yes.
B: Why? We haven't exactly been discrete have we? We're in the middle
of the tearooms for starters!
T: That is not the point.
B: So why are you so ashamed of me?
T: I'm not.
B: Then what's the problem?
Eric comes back in, tells them he's been formally charged and is in
front of the licensing bench next week. He asks Kathy for a private
word upstairs.

Pub
Kirsty stomps in and out into the back. Heather tells Terry she
borrowed last nights tips to go shopping, so she replaces them. Terry
starts to explain that having a relationship in the pub is like getting
to know one another in a goldfish bowl. They decide to cool it till
Heather gets a place of her own. Heather asks Lynne what's wrong with
Kirsty. Lynne says she a teenager.

Erics Flat
Eric begins to give Kathy a sob story about how he's seeing himself how
others see him and doesn't like it. He gives her a load of bumph about
how Dee's left him and now this misunderstanding with the police, and
how he depends on Kathy and wants to give her a give of her name over
the door. She turns him down and tells him she wants to buy him out and
that the partnership has ended.

END

Well that's your lot. Here's hoping tomorrow another jumbo jet falls on
the village and this time, takes out Kathy.

What's wrong with Kathy all of a sudden??
Are you a Pollard fan Charlie??

I doubt if they'll be writing him out, if Kim's leaving they're going to
need a nasty sod to take her place, every soap has a character we all
love to hate. It used to be Frank Tate but he died (painfully :) thank
God.

I am. Always like old Eric. If only because of his wife disposal

I actually felt sorry for him last night when he showed tears after
Kathy refused to bail him out, but then I had this weird flashback to
Frank Tates painful death and that cheered me up. :)

Never a Pollard fan. Kathy is just getting on my wixk lately cause she's
being such a down trodden drip. It took Rachel and Betty to pull her out of
the 'oh no nasty Eric is going to take my business away' thing. And wanting
to know everything going on between Biff and Tara, specially saying to Betty
that she didn't like Biff lying to her. ARGH, she's driving me mad at the
moment. Please let Tara and Kathy have a bitch fight over Biff in the
newsgroup storylines. I want to get a chance to kcik her ass!!

Ok rant over.....

My fixation isn't directly linked to Franks painfully agonising death,
like I said somewhere else I don't care who dies so long as it's either
painful or bloody messy or BOTH!! :)

LOL!!
I could make some joke about ice hockey and pucks, but I won't. Yes I
will.

Or she might drag me to the hockey court, pitch, field, whatever it is
and use me as a puck, and I don't want Charlie to puck me with a wooden
