Good to see that Molly stepped into the breach with her update for
Wednesday (5 November 1997). I won't duplicate Molly's excellent
update so please refer there for an explanation of Wednesday's events.
Anyway, here goes for Tuesday's episode.
Sam is feeding the pigs with cooked goose meat. Butch complains and
tells Butch that the goose meat is only there as they had to cook the
frozen bird as they don't have a freezer.
Butch isn't happy with sam being there. he tells him that Zak is away
in Ireland looking for him.
Jan and Ned are looking at Linda's casket which contains her ashes.
Jan thinks the box would make a good tea box.
Jack and sarah are busy putting up some barbed wire fencing. Jack
tells Sarah that the work is too much for them and proposes to offer
Billy some temporary work.
Paddy goes to see Mandy and pretends that Zoe has given him the push.
Mandy tells him that if he is going then he may as well go out with a
bang (nudge, nudge, say no more). Just as they are getting
romantically entwined, Sam bursts in and tells them he needs help, one
of the pigs has got terrible diarrhea.
Billy tells Andy that he can bunk off school that day and apologises
for shouting at him the day before. Andy wants to go to school as he
has a football lesson.
Jack turns up and offers Billy some work.
Biff tells the Glovers that he wants to scatter Linda's ashes alone.
Biff gets a letter from the Police concerning the incident with the
Mini, it asks that both him and Linda go down to the Police station.
Jack calls to see Rachel and tells her that sarah is going to see Jan
that night and invites her up to the farm.
Rachel thinks Jack is getting reckless.
Biff goes to the Police station and the Inspector dealing with the
case wants to know where Linda is. Biff produces the ash casket and
introduces the Inspector to his late departed wife.
A Constable whispers to the Inspector that Linda was killed in the
accident and the Inspector apolgises for an administrative error and
tells Biff that he will let the matter pass.
Paddy and Zoe are having a drink in the Woolpack.
Paddy wants to know when Zoe wants him to leave. Zoe tells him he can
stay on for a year.
Biff scatters Linda's ashes in a field.
Sarah goes off to see Jan.
Jack tells her to take her time and not rush back.
Paddy continues to kid Mandy that he has been given the push.
Rachel turns up at the Sugdens farm.
Jan, Ned and Sarah are looking at photographs of Linda.
Jan gets upset and Sarah goes home.
Butch tells sam that he cannot go to the Woolpack as he is wanted by
the Police.
Lisa gives him a ski mask as a disguise.
Zoe and Sophie have a heart to heart in the Woolpack.
Jack and Rachel are at it in the barn (rumpy pumpy).
jack hears a noise, looks out of the door and realises that sarah is
back. Rachel makes a joke to the effect that there isn't a wardrobe to
hide in.
Sarah goes into the house and finds the kids up and eating jam and
bread. Robert tells Sarah that Victoria couldn't sleep, he doesn't
know where Jack is.
Sarah has seen Rachels car parked outside and goes out to find out
what is going on.
The Dingles go into the Woolpack. Sam has got his ski mask on.
Terry says, "and what will you be having Sam".
Sarah finds Jack and Rachel tending to some sheep in the barn. Jack
tells her that foxes have been at the sheep and he got Rachel in to
help.
Sarah asks why Rachel is overdressed for working on the farm. Rachel
replies that she had been going out with friends when Jack rang.
Sarah asks why Rachels dress is on back to front, Jack tells her he
hadn't noticed.
Sarah tells them both to get off the farm.
That's how it ended.

I missed this update, and I also missed the episode, so is there any chance of
getting it reposted or e-mailed to me please? I'm dying to know the details
of the plot device that managed to get the Dingles and the Woolpackers to
Australia just in time for them to film the Christmas special!
