Did you read the sentence before it, about those being beautiful, seductive
women?

'Swhat makes it funny, see. <g> They're beautiful and seductive-- therefore
they CAN'T be KITH fans.

Get it? ;)

You read my mind, Djin. ;)

Jenny, was this StarTV segment on the same episode with Gavin Crawford
(::drool:: <g>) that aired this past Saturday on CityTV? 'Cause if it
was, I'm going to bang my head against the wall for not tuning in
earlier. :D

Maybe beautiful, seductive women wouldn't be considered KITH fans
because they aren't INCREDIBLY beautiful, head-turning, seductive and
BRILLIANT women like KITH fan-women are. :) <g>

Hmm.

Thank god for the anonymity of the internet, eh? <g>

Yes--Gavin Crawford is a new cast member on Red Green this season. The TV
Guide Fall Preview says he is new gas jockey Dale, who will give Red a lot
of advice on his van. Patrick McKenna has left as a regular (nephew
Howard), but TVG says Red will visit him occasionally in the city, at his
post-college job. It says he just left for college at the end of last
season...did the characters look aged by a few years? :o>

BTW you are not a loser for going to the taping! I am a loser for never
going to tapings despite living here--this includes KITH!!!!!! I went to a
special concert they had at UofT--I think it was before (or maybe after?)
their last season. Anyway, I thought I would see new stuff, but it was a
"best-of" compilation of stuff from their show. Still great!

I went to the taping for a Comedy Network special he'll be on (OK I forgot I
did go to 2 tapings this spring..correction to my last message this thread),
and previously the Tim Sims Memorial Fund award which he won. Yes, he's
hilarious! I read an article about him in Second City cast (I think it was
in Now or Eye)...the audiences love him there too. I don't know why I
haven't gone to the mainstage show, especially since I'm at other shows
there a lot. Perhaps we can arrange a night out???

LOL We recently did a little sketch on that, at Theatresports. Too bad it
was just in class. Those dolls cost what--$10-$20 elsewhere, or $30 in a
theme park store even? Or was it one of those giant ones? Did she get one
or give up?

No kidding there either. I was so relaxed sunbathing in the Dominican
Republic, then this couple--well the husband--started talking about Canada
to another guy from the US, and he was putting down everything, political
climate, economy, saying yeah it's so bad...not that I agree with our
esteemed politicians many times, but I just wanted to deport him upon
returning here. I got up and went somewhere else.

I went to a taping at the CBC last year -- Sketchcom with... oh geez,
I've got such a bad memory... Fast and Dirty, and... someone else.
They were good (Leonard Cohen singing along to Raffi was hilarious,
even though obvious) but I couldn't help thinking, "I can see the KITH
influence, I can see the KITH influence...." I know, sometimes, that's
not fair... must be like Python fans who say KITH or Mr. Show are just
another ripoff. Although that's not exactly what I'm saying about the
Toronto sketch troupes I've seen.

> <g>-- and one of the new cast members looked so much like him, and

Yep. The guy's frickin' hilarious. I wish I'd had the chance to see
his one-man show last year.

ROTFL! You too, eh? They've both got similar bone structure, or
something... the similarity isn't obvious, but it's there. It just
struck me, all of a sudden, while I was watching a show.

I've seen that! It IS beautiful. :) I just wish I'd had my camera, at
the time!

That's a five thousand dollar award, right? Or ten? Niiiiiiiice.

> Perhaps we can arrange a night out???

So... you're on campus? You should've come down to Victoria this
morning! Ah, I had a nice Sloany time and met a cool U of T Sloaner
(hi Eileen!). And was blinded by floodlights at 6:30 am, but I should
look on the bright side. <g>

LOL, I love how I'm ASSuming that you like Sloan. <g>

She won a Garfield doll her first time (at which point *I* would've
given up, had I even decided to play) then spent $70 dollars and
finally ended up getting the Scooby Doo.

::double take::

Oh, wow. I just checked my deja email for the first time in a year and
a half. 16 spam messages, 2 normal people. One from someone named
Annie asking for Andy on Howard, and one from erin back in May! Sorry,
erin, for not responding! <g> I don't use that account usually, but I
must've accidentally posted through it, and you responded. And I never
knew! Ack!

LOL! I'm like that sometimes -- in that "We should find our own
planet, I mean it!" frame of mind. Perhaps I should explain the
context of the Dave quote. It was from an interview in one of those
Sun media papers.. either Toronto or Edmonton, and he was talking about
how Canadians are such flag-wavers when they're abroad. I put it in my
sig 'cause... I'm sometimes guilty of that.

Perhaps, one day, Dave's quote will make it back. I love it too damn

Heehee, if you remove the space between "pen" and "is" it becomes
