I just got this from Microsoft MSDN. Has anyone installed it? I already
installed MapPoint 2002 North America edition. Will I be able to install
MapPoint 2002 Europe on the same machine without causing conflict?

I want to be able to see cities in Sweden. Will 2002 Europe provide me with
the details?

I have it installed and it co-exsist perfectly with MapPoint North America.
There is a little bit more detail for cities in Sweden than you have in the
North American version, but Sweden is not one of the dozen countries the
Euro version covers in great detail.

MapPoint 2002 North America and Europe coexist peacefully on my
machine.

Depends on what you call details - there is coverage for Sweden, but
it is not as good as what is available for e.g. Germany, France, the
UK, Benelux ...

By details, I mean will I be able to locate hostels, restaurants, shopping
centers, museums, airports, and general street map-type of information of
Sweden?

Yes, but if feels less "dense" than e.g. the maps for the UK. I just
did a search for all points of interest around Jönköping in a radius
of 80 kilometers - there are 2 minor airports, 3 attractions and
tourist infos, 1 Ferry Terminal, 1 Museum and 61 Train Stations
listed.

The road network consists of the major roads AFAICS, and they have
numbers / labels only (e.g. 50 / E4), but no names. Address search is
not supported for Sweden, it is supported for Austria, Belgium,
Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain,
Switzerland and the UK.

I think there's a good chance that Microsoft will be adding detailed road
network and point of interest support for Sweden in the next release of
MapPoint. Just a hunch...
