All the more reason to network and collate competitively
with the CIA, and support policymakers with alternative
viewpoints. Given the internet, for example, and better
public access to a lot of the same satellite stuff,
there's no reason for the CIA to feel complacent about
being the only player with intelligence. Maybe some
of its backwardness will dissipate with the realization
that it may no longer be Mecca for IC pros. Better
healthy competition than another "best and brightest"
chapter ala Vietnam.
