"Princess Queen"
She's the Queen Princess of rock and Roll
If you cant rock shell swallow you whole
Shes been through fire and war for the sake of rock
Her music has power, it can give a big shock
Running through the night
Hunting through the night
Howling in the night
Rocking in the night
Kat! Princess Queen!
Hordes of mercenaries come from lands afar
To pay tribute to the woman possessed of skill of guitar
Melody grace and a hot bod too
And red eyes which will burn through the heart of you
Truly in the night i rock with you in concatenation of metal glory
A powerful stream of notes manifests in shower of fury
Kat! Kat! Kat! Cry legions of rock elements!
HER music cant be measured in dollars and cents
nOW IT IS THE future and millions worship the power of Kat Marco
Alternative music has been forgotten and shed like the skin of a shark
It can be said ever nation still hums
The METAL MELODIES of Kat and Dr.Killdrums!

Shouldn't that be shark-awwwwwwwwwwohhhhh!!!! *demented metal howl*
You know, it's a shame that RYL aren't still together to do this song.
It would roool! (sorry Mark!)
where's the verse that explains how kat absorbed the soul of lita ford
back in '88?
No, Kat was really Lita all along. In 88, Kat/Lita knew that her career
in metal was pretty much over in the "Lita" persona; knowing she had to
make a change, Lita/Kat kidnapped a convenience store cashier and sucked
her soul away by playing the same guitar solo again and again, thus
freeing up the body for usage (this is where "Kat DeMarco" comes in).
That's why she's so accustomed to the multiple personalities shtick, and
assumes everyone else is too.

Alas, i cannot take rightful claim to the lyrics quoted,
those brighter than the light of Apollo's chariot. I could
lie and say that i did it, but i never lie.
Well, almost never.
I'm putting money on Kris S (though he's probably
not read a word of this thread).

Why is that every lame metal band that ever existed always use the phrase
'...in the night' or '...through the night' as one of the choruses to their
songs? Is it that hard to write ONE original line?

>Running From The Night
>@1982
<snipped>
Are you actually trying to impress us with this tripe? Humoring us is more
on par.
Aren't we getting a little out of hand here? This whole issue
came up in the first place because she decided to post a couple
of times about her music and, as is my right to do so, I happened
to think said music wasn't worth much. She apparently thinks
that therefore I am on a sole vendetta to crush her and everything
about her, and spend all time plotting an evil revenge. Not so!
I have said before and will say again that I think she has spent
an amazing amount of time worrying about me and what I think,
all to no purpose whatsoever. I am one person and, by the looks
of it, she has a large number of fans -- why then worry about
me and what I think? She's not going to change my opinion of
her work, first off, and she certainly isn't spending useful
time on her end trying to do so. Were I in her shoes, I would
have thought many days ago, "Whatever, I have better things to
do," and moved on. Is this so hard for her? You're mentioning
years of work and thousands of dollars spent, and you're worrying
about what a goof like *me* thinks? Where is the perspective
here, I ask you?
Whatever observations I have made about her character I have done
so solely based on the nature of the postings made here to a.m.a.
I cannot be held responsible for somehow 'defaming' her based on
that. I will acknowledge that it certainly is an incomplete
portrait -- who truly shows all of themselves on line, in any
context for that matter? -- but can you say you know everything
there is to know about me in turn? I think not. What I *have*
seen of Kat revolves around childish insults, self-glorification,
inability to express herself clearly or logically and many other
things besides. You'll forgive me if my impression of her has
therefore been extremely negative all this time, but what exactly
did you expect? That I have gotten in a couple of cheap shots
along the way I freely acknowledge -- can she say she is totally
innocent herself of this? Is what she has been through meant to
be an excuse for it?
I have said before and will repeat that if she is happy doing what
she is doing with her life and art, fine, great. There should be
more happiness in what is clearly a sad, fucked-up and shitty
world. But being an artist and making yourself and your work
known to the public means that you'll have to deal with the
reactions you and your work gather, positive and negative both.
That I and others have found her work to be laughably bad
and herself to be somewhat odd is simply how we feel.
Now you tell us that Kat is someone who has had a truly horrible
life and lives in fear. That certainly is nothing to laugh at.
It does not change my opinion of her music or of the fact that
she seems to be wasting her time here -- especially if, as you
seem to be implying, she has far more important things to be
worrying about that the random opinion of one person about her
music on the Internet.
If indeed I have caused any real, true distress to her for
whatever reason, then I apologize for that. I cannot say I
have lived anything like the life you have described for her
and I admit to not knowing how I would feel were I in such a
situation. It sounds truly miserable. However, if all I get in
response to saying that is some sort of typical childish
taunt from her or Sloane Midnight or whoever else works with
or is involved with her, then I will take that as a sign that
you are playing up her problems as a cheap excuse and I will
*NOT* be impressed. You have chosen to take this to an
extremely serious and sober-minded level, and I am responding
in kind as I can -- the choice is yours if you want it to stay
that way.

I have never come across a more pathetic bunch of people in my life. Why you
guys keep coming back for more abuse after it's been stated many many times how
much we think Kat's music sucks is awy beyond me. Not that we really want you
to leave, since Geir's taken a vacation we can use all the humor we can get.
Keep in mind that your lengthy posts about Kat's horrible life and her crusade
to give away free music do not provoke a single tear from our eyes. The point
is, this is an alternative music newsgroup and most of us here couldn't give
two rat's nads about Kat or her insanely horrible music. Call me cold-hearted
and emotionless, but I do write this from the bottom of my heart. Perhaps you
guys might fare better in the heavy metal newsgroups where people actually
appreciate left-over 80's hair music. Sure, there are some of us who still have
a hankering for our Iron Maiden and Judas Priest records, but that does not
mean we are gonna join Kat's lame crusade to bring metal back into the 90's.
Now, you all have a nice life and maybe come back when you produce something
worth listening to. We are all fairly open-minded over here in ama and will
always be open to new listening experiences. Unfortunately, we all heard Lita
Ford back in the 80's and we don't need a part two.

stop being such a whining fool. Maybe God can help her, but we sure as hell
cannot (Nor do we care to).
>The way she explained it to me was like
>this, she told me that she has been angry at people in her life when

That's swell. Hey, I'm angry at the fact that I'm an alcoholic, spent the last
12 years in and out of hospitals, near death and suicidally depressed. Yet, I
still don't care if anyone sympathizes with me. I make no excuses for my life.
I've been to places so dark, that most people would not have survived. I also
don't feel the need to bring up my personal pain when a few people insult me.
It's my personal business. Kat could go on all afternoon about how horrible her
life has been. It still doesn't change the fact that all of you are WAY
off-topic here on alt.music.alternative and that no matter how pitiful you make
your lives out to be, Kat's music still sucks and our opinions will not change.

Subject: KAT MARCO Label: Rockat Records Style: Heavy Rock Album: Maiden Voyage Review By: French Connection 11/98 Kat Marco is a new Guitar Goddess! But not only is she a good guitarist, she is also a very good singer. Her album has been recorded at the famous Morrisound with Jim Morris and Steve 'Dr. Killdrums' Wacholz (Savatage). here is only 3 tracks in this CD origionally issued in 1996. All 3 tracks have entered the top 10 and Kat gets amazing reviews and media exposure. Now Kat founds her own record company, Rockat Records. Kat works in the musical industry with some of the most important bands and guys. Her music is heavy rock, very melodic with good riffs! She's got a really good voice and she knows how to create emotions & to share them with her audience. With so good a production on this album, I highly recommend this mCD to all those who like melodic metal music. I think they'll find in Kat Marco a good way to have pleasure with music. To others, she's gonna be a solid woman riding in the face of metal. Kat shows off potential in this 3 song independent EP. For one, she can wail with a power equal to any number of metal gods from the 80s. Since she's a female, she's actually SUPPOSED to be able to hit all those ultra high notes. The beauty about her is that she also plays guitar and writes the songs on here. The guitar work is not the best ever, but it certainly packs a punch and has more anger and crunch to it than, say, a Lita Ford. Her solos are concise without going way over the deep end into overindulgence. The best example of all this is "Rebel Renegade" where she takes a meaty song and throws all her emotion into it with some guitar work that's fancy enough to keep you engaged. -Agent Rogersz
