Can anyone tell how to permenently delete an Item in the inbox?

I don't want to just move it to the deleted folder... but get rid of it.

Thanks in advance.

Hold down the Shift key and press Delete.

If you mean from a programmatically standpoint, then you have to use
Collaboration Data Objects.

How do you programatically, permenently delete an Item in the Inbox using
the Outlook Object model?

1. Remember the EntryID property of the message
2. Call MailItem.Delete
3. Call Application.Session.GetItemFromID() using the entry id from #1 (you will
get back the same message which now lives in the "Deleted Items" folder)
4. Call MailItem.Delete again - this time it will be deleted permanently.

Thank you. That seems to have done the job.
