this totally uneducated biblical fundamentalism seems to emnate from
various individuals who purport to be biblically educated but are not
theologically educated
I.E the Levitical code can be construed as a early public health
document if read carefully . But deo gratias , thank God we now have
antibiotics and other medical advances
And as regards our Hitler admirers I really do not think they are worth

I pretty much agree with you, too, Stuart. Only I *do* think it's
worth the time to debate with these idiots. Usenet is not like what
we had before...we can basically come face to face with our enemies,
and educated them without them ever turning away or shutting us up.
This is a whole new ballgame.
I do think that we are making inroads by persistant debate, regardless
of any idiot at the other end of the debate. For our words of sanity
are for all to read...and while they may not benefit the thick-headed
bigot who argues with it...they can reach folks we don't even know
about...such as a lonely kid isolated in a bible-thumping household
with a computer plugged into the Internet. This may liberate him from
a very dark existence, indeed. And who knows that this lonely kid may
not share this data with a buddy or two...and may some day become a
future leader of human civil rights.
