When I pulled up the carpet and padding on Sunday, The floor pan
was pristine, no signs of any previous water infiltration in the
past, and I'd like to keep it that way in the future. Drying it out
is not a problem, but I need to find the entry point !!!!
Where are the likely suspect places to look?

Assuming it's not A/C condensate, leaks around the windshield are a big
culprit, but also look at the wiper pivot, and wiper motor, and around
the A/C lines.

Perhaps the upper right corner of the windscreen, where the molding
has pulled away from the body?

Will do!

Another suggestion, that has happened in a car I have
owned. Does the passenger side window sit correctly? Are
are any gaps between the window and the door frame, when
the window is wound up?

Note that the windshield molding is strictly decorative, the seal is on
the inside of the windshield.
I had some rust issues on the floorpan of my '85, long story short after fixing
it I tracked down the leaks. Largest was from a plug that had gone missing in
the corner of the firewall where it meets the fender, very hard to see from the
engine compartment but I found it by looking up under the dash on a sunny day
with the hood up. I found a few more small leaks by running a hose with a
sprayer on it over the front of the car to imitate a hard rain. From inside
with the padding over the foot areas removed and the carpet pulled back I found
that almost every grommet was weeping, even with the hood closed. A good water
based silicone cured that and all is dry now. The other problem areas I see
others have mentioned so I won't be redundant.
Good luck in your hunt.

I had a similar occurence with my 85 245. The "fix" involved poking a wire
into the drainage slots on the underside at the seam where the rocker panel
meets up with the floor panel and reaming them out.
The non-drip rust spray (about the consistency of vaseline petroleum jelly)
had run down and clogged them up. Litresworth of water drained out and there
were no more puddles in the front passenger-side floor mat/pan after that.
