Hi,

I try to use my pinnacle DC30+ under linux. Normally, it is supported by my
kernel (2.4.7-10, default redhat 7.2 kernel), by the zoran driver.

The driver is loaded without problems, with its dependencies :
[root@luggage root# /sbin/lsmod
Module Size Used by
zoran 19888 0 (unused)
i2c-old 4160 0 [zoran]
videodev 5312 0 [zoran]
[...]

My video devices are well created in /dev :

[root@luggage root]# ll /dev/video*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 6 nov 24 22:06 /dev/video -> video0
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 81, 0 nov 24 22:06 /dev/video0
crw------- 1 root root 81, 1 nov 24 22:06 /dev/video1
crw------- 1 root root 81, 2 nov 24 22:06 /dev/video2
[root@luggage root]#

But now, if i try to run an application to use the video grabber, I have
an error message : "can't open /dev/video0: No such device"

for examples (french version, "Aucun périphérique de ce type" means "No
device of this type" :
[root@luggage root]# xawtv
This is xawtv-3.54, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.7-10)
can't open /dev/video0: No such device
v4l2: open /dev/video0: Aucun périphérique de ce type
v4l: open /dev/video0: Aucun périphérique de ce type
no video grabber device available
[root@luggage root]#

[root@luggage root]# v4l
v4l-conf v4lctl
[root@luggage root]# v4l-conf
v4l-conf: using X11 display :0.0
dga: version 2.0
mode: 1152x864, depth=24, bpp=32, bpl=5120, base=0xd8000000
can't open /dev/video0: No such device
[root@luggage root]#

He seems to run like I didn't have a loaded driver. What did I missed ? Did
someone was able to use this card under linux ?
