Hi

I am using Soap 2.0 and i get the following message from Invoke function when i
tried to connect my client to the server.
"Connector: Bad request to server"

I am able to successfully get the DISPID for the method i am trying to call from
the server and when i try to invoke the method it fails.

This failure occurs randomly when i send huge data i.e of the order 1-3 Megs.

for the small chunks of data it works perfectly well...

Any idea whats going on here...

Thanks for the help

My guess would be the connection is timing out because the server is taking
too long. The other possibility is that something is failing in your server
component. If the large buffer is failing after about 30 seconds, the
timeout is probably the problem so try setting it to a bigger value. In any
case, tracing the connection should help you see what's happening.

Can we trace the connection using Soap 2.0? If Yes can you let me know how?

Thanks

Use the trace utility that comes with the toolkit.

We are also getting the same error but it occurs no matter what the data
size is and comes almost instantaneously. Any ide why that might be
happenning? (Using Apache-SOAP 2.1 on the server side, MS SOAP Toolkit 2.0
on the client using the wsdl files generated by the IBM WSToolkit)

The server doesn't like the message you're sending. Use the trace utility to
compare it to one that works.

Raza,

any luck with the problem?

initially, we assumed the problem might be due lack of memory and invoke fails
once virtual memory usage comes into play.

any help would be appreciated!
