How would I load and copy a PNG resource into a DirectDraw7 Surface?

The goal is to load PNG's "as resources contained in .EXE" and copy them
into DirectDraw7 Surfaces.

I use DDLoadBitmap from DDUTIL.CPP, provided by Microsoft DX7a SDK, to load
and copy BITMAP resources into DirectDraw7 surfaces. Is there a similar
method for loading PNG resources?

Thanks!

Not for DX7. For DX8, the D3DX utility library will load a whole variety of
image formats, including PNG.
