Hi all,

now this is wierd, a friend of mine has nav 2002 installed with
the latest updates,, running windows 2000 ... while surfing the net and
looking at webpages ... norton came up with a box saying something like
found JS.exploit virus in a htm file which changed the homepage address
and disabled it

so when you go into internet options => general the whole homepage field
is disabled nothing can be changed in that area but the other to fields
below are fine (temp files and history all work fine)

i have also been surfing the net and nav has detected the JS_exploit virus
in a htm file but hasnt disabled my homepage

any ideas on how to fix this problem?

It's a registry setting, although offhand I don't know where it's at, maybe
someone else here can help out... I've seen similar fixes for proxy server
settings and for connection properties... that's my guess, anyway. If you're
familiar with the registry, poke around HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer.
