Yesterday, in the comics section of the S.F. Chronicle, there was a
homosexual reference in the popular strip, "Zits". My hope is that
this is a prelude to introducing a gay character in a friendly manner.
However, I'm still undecided on whether this cartoon is really all
that gay friendly. Have a look-see yourself, and cast your vote:

Lynn Johnson already did that about 5 years ago in her strip "For
Better or For Worse." And quite well.

You're preaching to the choir, here. But to our shame, not even "Gay
Mecca's" main newspaper, S.F. Chronicle & S.F Examiner, have any
sexual minority character in a daily strip.

Considering how serious is the matter of raging homophobia in our
nation, I consider this a form of absolute betrayal against S.F.'s
queer citizens. I mean, c'mon now, whose side is our city on? So many
EXCELLENT queer cartoonists out there, you'd think by now both papers
would include ONE daily and Sunday queer strip.

I do not dance for the occasional crumb tossed our way.

Notice that, ever since Lynn Johnson had a gay character for a short
while...she's been pushing the "Fambly Valyoos" trip big time, include
hetero marriages and popping out babies. And she hasn't stopped...my
God, she's here own overpopulation problem!
