I thought I read somewhere that this type of problem might be caused by
the date format as set in the operating system. Are you running Windows
NT/2000 by chance, or some other OS?
Regardless, check the date format of the OS. I apologize that I do not
have much more information than that but it might get you started.

Typos in my post are due to my inability to type and proof-read, not my
inability to spell and construct grammatically correct sentences. :-)

I was thinking more along the lines of the Regional Settings, Date tab
under the control panel, not the Date/Time settings. Without knowing
your OS ahead of time, I did not want to assume Windows.

I've written a utility which you can use to bulk-change the format in
the qif file (among other features).
Details are at http://www.monthtwosys.co.uk/tffc.htm, where you can
download a trial version.
Let me know if this helps, or I need to tweak it for you.

Before you buy.
Apologies you've downloaded previous versions and were caught by this.
The new version is at http://www.monthtwosys.co.uk/downloads.htm

Funny, I thought that Q2K needed 11/21'00, not 11/21/00. I more or less
regularly edit the qif downloaded from Vanguard to make this change, and
for my problem at least, the editing works perfectly. If the problem
persists after I get Q2001, I might try James Lavery's utility ... Thus
far Notepad works for me (mine does global replace).
