Importing QIF file

I'm using Quicken Deluxe 2000 and am trying to import QIF file from
financial institution.
The transactions are imported fine but with one problem: today's date is
replaced for all transactions (file has correct dates), and year is
converted to 00 and shown at the beginning of the register.

Regardless, check the date format of the OS. I apologize that I do not
have much more information than that but it might get you started.

I'm using 98 SE. Date/time format has 4-digit year. Can't see any change
that would help solve this problem.

I was thinking more along the lines of the Regional Settings, Date tab
under the control panel, not the Date/Time settings. Without knowing
your OS ahead of time, I did not want to assume Windows.

Intuit screwed up the date format on Qwin 98. The format for the year
should be "/00". Look at your QIF data.

I've written a utility which you can use to bulk-change the format in
the qif file (among other features).

Version 1.4 of my program (The Financial File Converter) is now
available, which fixes a bug where, if converting *from* delimited,
some versions of Quicken would import with no amount in the
transactions. (It was writing a blank 'U' line in the qif file).

Apologies you've downloaded previous versions and were caught by this.

Funny, I thought that Q2K needed 11/21'00, not 11/21/00. I more or less
regularly edit the qif downloaded from Vanguard to make this change, and
for my problem at least, the editing works perfectly. If the problem
persists after I get Q2001, I might try James Lavery's utility ... Thus
far Notepad works for me (mine does global replace).

When I replaced /2000 with /'00, import of qif file worked fine. I used Word
to make global change.

Actually the format is either 12/10/2000 or 12/10'00, but not 12/10/00.
