I just noticed a folder in my root directory called KPCMS with one
subfolder named CMSCP that has one 2k file named cp01 in it.

Does anyone know what this is?

Naw, has something to do with the display drivers for a Creative Labs
Graphics Blaster. I deleted the one I found and nothing crapped out....

Well I don't know guys, I don't have either Photoshop or Graphics
Blaster on my machine. Any other ideas?

Philo,
No, I'm sorry. I don't have any Creative cards at all on my machine.
Every time I format and install, right after Photoshop is installed
the KPCMS folder shows up again.......

On my system, it is listed under the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Kodak\
key, so I think it has to do with a Kodak Photo CD plug-in created by
some application.

OK, one more idea. Was Win98 pre-installed? Or was it just installed?

It was preinstalled on a Dell Dimension-- but I've identified it now.

It is part of the Kodak photo software- as Crewser-san suggested. It may
have popped up after I installed Umax Vistascan 3.1 scanner software and
drivers the other day.

Thanks for you interest and your help.
