rcsync

What is rcsync? Why is it trying to connect to the
internet? I have it blocked with my firewall but it
keeps trying. Also I found it in C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch
there is two items named rcsync. RCSYNC.EXE-0AA2DF5B.pf.
The other is just rcsync version 1.0.2.754 it's location
is C:\Program Files\RCPrograms. Is this a problem? Or
just nothing. My only question is why is it trying to
connect?

You might want to scan your computer w/adaware or spybot.

Jordan,

RCSync.exe is the auto-update component of our software product,
PrizeSurfer. Each day, it attempts to connect to our server in order
to check for an updated version of PrizeSurfer. This is done without
sending any information, other than an ID code, back to the server (we
respect your privacy).
