I have heard that most of the people here have killfiled me. So what?
At present your survival plans are based on fantasies of a world that has
never existed, and/or the use of things that you cannot replace or repair.
There is nothing you can teach me and your minds are as yet closed to the
realities awaiting you.

I am addressing those that monitor the group and just pop in for a look-see,
and read the Usenet Archives in order to avoid being attacked by
the mean and ignorant bigots that frequent this group.

Think you are going to live like "the Pioneers"? No. You aren't. Contrary to
the myths handed to you on a platter by publishing houses and Hollywood, the
pioneers were, as a rule, completely dependent upon Eastern industry for their
tools and staples and chemicals. Read some actual histories.

Even the hardiest "Mt. Man" couldn't have lived without the tools provided by
those gruesome factories and after that was dependent on Native American
tribes that no longer exist.

The West was settled by the Corporations.

Think you are going to make a living from wild animals? The average Native
American diet consisted of a minimum of 85% PLANT foods, and the population
then was about 10,000,000 people throughout N. America North of the present
day Mexican border.

Check out the amount of land that a Native American gatherer-hunter needed
to live off of, and even then had to move with some frequency.....

A Black Bear needs about 25 square miles of land, and they eat mostly plants
and insects and take nothing else from the land!!!!

When TSHTF, some 250,000,000 people (that's about 60,000,000 dead in the
Collapse, a high figure) will be trying to make a living in an environment
that has been TRASHED.

There won't be any wagon trains or iron horses bringing you goodies from the
East, no stores or mail-order catalogs. No ships from Europe.

There will be roving bands of desperate refugees and brigands everywhere.

If you think you are going to just take huge areas of land and claim them
as your own and fend off the heathens with a few guns, you are dumber than
a brick. You and your family are dead meat.

Only gardening, and to a lesser extent, gathering, and learning how to
camoflauge your retreat, and being able to move at a moment's notice and
replace what you need from native raw materials will get you through.

Anyone interested in living through the coming Collapse in style is welcome
to email me.

Anyone interested in having a very bad time, working yourself to death, then
dying painfully is welcome to take the advice of the ignorant children here
who work so hard to convince you that they are rough-tough survivalists.

I think you heard wrong. You need to get a better contact. I
certainly wouldn't killfile you (I can't anyway due to Free Agent).
The replies to you are some of the funniest I've read here. Why would
I miss an opportunity to laugh. Come the "collapse" there will be
little enough chance to do so.

I have no survival plans so that leaves me out of your tirade.

You're sure counting on this complete collapse. I expect you will be
severely disappointed.

Well, you surely aren't talking about me. Not a mean bone in my body.
Sweetness personified. That's me.

Well, by golly, you got another one right.

I believe this has been disputed but you failed to notice since you
probably had the poster killfiled and seem to have a tad bit of
trouble facing reality.

How far can you move? And you don't even hunt.

So? I am not a black bear and have no desire to be one.

I beleive that's IF it hits the fan. And a very big IF (see? Caps to
show the IF is big)

I'd no plans of doing any such thing. Wouldn't know what to do with a
large area of land and I don't have any guns.

You and your family are dead meat.

My parents are already dead meat.

I accidently did that once. Eewww.

My death will probably be painful no matter where or how it happens.
But, thank you for considering me a child. I'm kinda old. Ignorant -
yes. But at least sane - unlike you. I've never tried to convince
anyone that I'm rough-tough. LOL I've been quite honest about that.
Sue - who if she were a little younger might consider sharing her body
to survive. Wouldn't survive beyond 2 days as I am now. Sigh

OK, alanc has stated he lives on 1/10 acre, so anyone else could, I guess,
yet here he states how much land it takes. Also, he fails to accept that
stores, landfills, homes, military bases etc would still be around, even if
not "open for business" so resourses are still there. And email him how?
xx...@xxxx.xxx doesn't work. Alan is an idiot.

Actually if you look at the all the header fields it shows
alanc...@earthlink.net
Sue - hating to support Alan in any way but fair is fair.

Another of those strange aspects I keep pointing out....and trust me,
he has them in every post he's ever done....is the fact that he goes
out of his way to say it's impossible to live off the land and that
gardening is the only way to survive. One breath later, though, he
says that a person needs to be able to pick up and leave the garden
they just put 10,000 calories of work into and live off the land until
they get a new garden started.

The aircraft one above is classic, though. A pilot crashlands in
thigh-high snow in the middle of winter and lives by digging dandelion
roots.

He wouldn't be half bad if he would just keep his opinions/factoids
straight.

There are rumors - persistant rumors, but just rumors none the less - that
having killfiled everyone in M.S., AlanC is now researching methods of
killfiling websites as well.

Personally, I don't believe the other rumors about him working on being able
to killfiled natural events; in theory, this would allow someone who found
themselves in thigh-deep snow to kill-file the snow, then dig up various
roots at their pleasure.

No, *you* stated you killfiled the whole group. You show clear signs
of Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome, which, given your self-confessed
reliance on plant foods and probable alcoholism, is highly likely.

<snip of ravings>

ConFABUlation. A clear symptom. Alan, get some help, or at least put
yourself out of *our* misery. Do it for the children.
