Aha! THE Mr. Boston Bottle!

A little history about that bottle:

An intoxicated 15 year old boy was brought to our hospital drunk on
vodka after consuming the whole bottle by himself! I was asked to
council him about this and his parents showed me the bottle! When I saw
the label I asked them if I could have the bottle as I .. ahem ..
collect wine bottles! :)

I later sent the bottle to Chris as a surprise! :)

I'm glad you took the bottle to CGE .. it adds a little more flavor to
your display! :)

One of these cartridges sold on eBay for $1225.00! And that was five years
ago!

Hi Mike:

I think this is the picture of that very same cart.

Mr. Boston Distilleries went out of business in the early 1980s .. The
brandname was continued by another distributer until about 1990.

Looking back on the archived auction, it is the same one. Auction states
that it is, "the only complete one known to exist."

As far as I know there are two complete Mr. Boston packages and one loose
cart.

I have one of the packages. It is the package that is shown at CGExpo and
also the source of the cart picture that is posted on sites that have the
picture. I forget who has the other package but I do remember it was
purchased with a boxed Vectrex on eBay.

The last I heard a few years ago Jayson Hill had the loose cart, and still
does as far as I know. I had asked to buy that one before one of the
packages came on the market. The obvious and actual answer to sell at that
time was a firm no. Can't say I fault him for that answer.

I still wonder if a cardboard box will turn up one day with few more sets in
it.

The Vectrex was *not* included with the auction. I have it archived. Only
the boxed cart was for auction. Nothing else. Auction ended at $1225.00 with
51 bids.
