Does anyone have any ideas why my IIS server gives 500 Server Error
whenever I try and resolve localhost? I can use my IP and that seems to
work, but localhost or 127.0.0.1 doesn't. I have reinstalled IIS and my
OS and still the same thing keeps occuring.

ASP doesn't seem to work either, HTML renders just no ASP pages from the
server. They are likely related problems.

I'm out of ideas on this one.

Thanks,
Chris.

Try setting the IP Address from "All Unassigned" to the IP Address of your
server (or PC if you're using PWS or Win2K on a desktop) in the Default Web
Site configuration. Also check that your site is a virtual directory and has
an application node. Something in IIS isn't configured properly.
