Well, I've been getting that M$ virus, and it goes to /dev/null.

How smart can a guy be who keeps sending M$ viruses to someone's address that
he OBVIOUSLY got off usenet and therefore should know that I run Linux.
But then, he may not know how to find the headers. I mean, maybe his mother
didn't show him how....I wouldn't be surprised if EVERONE he was sending that
virus to ran Linux.

Also been getting a LOT of posts with subjects taken from various newsgroups
and threads I have posted on recently.

They all get sent to /dev/null and receive a request to re-submit the mail
with a one-time password on the subject line. Since the return address was
faked (I assume), the poor fool doesn't even know his messages were rejected.

I see that sam is posting again. Still trying to get everyone else to wear those
aluminum foil hats he loves so much, I assume?

I mean, he wouldn't be wasting his time and making a fool of himself by send-
ing me all those posts with newsgroup subjects, would he ?

Here's a clue sammy-wammy: You'll never get to be a real hacker if you spend
all your time posting inanities and trying to hassle people that have impenet-
erable shields. The latter is called "beating your head against a brick wall"
in the vernacular. It won't make you smarter.

Sammy-wammy just proved that he is, in fact, who has been sending me all those
mails with forged headers.

That's harrassment, sammy-wammy. Perhaps I should send the various posts
and mails to abuse earthlink and abuse YOUR newserver and ISP.

Oh, did I mention that I run tethereal on my ppp0 interface? I can send them
ALL the packet headers too...

Maybe it's time someone talked your mother and had her rescind your computer
priveleges. I'll bet she's sick of having to show you how to turn it on, over
and over again.

What, it took you a full 24 hours to come up with that?

Sheesh, that's so pathetic that even a dead horse) would be ashamed of
something like that (not to mention the greasy spot where the dead horse
used to be.

Here, in the future feel free to borrow something that's at least somewhat
creative, such as:

* Still trying to find more than a handful of firing synapses?

* Still trying to figure out your gender?

* Still trying to figure out how to digest solids?

* Still trying to make your mouth wider, in order to accomodate the second
incoming foot?

That only took less than a minute.

Speaking of aluminium foil, I have not been sending anything to anyone. Your
overinflated hubris (that's your word for the day, slim, look it up) is
giving you hallucinations.

> Here's a clue sammy-wammy: You'll never get to be a real hacker if you spend

I still like to know how old you are. You must've had a difficult time
trying to survive puberty. People tend to grow out of this kind of
phraseology, like "real hacker", usually by the time they hit twenty.

> all your time posting inanities and trying to hassle people that have impenet-

Nobody's hassling you, dimbulb. Sorry to disappoint you, but I haven't sent
you anything, nor have I ever had the slightest desire to ever do anything
so utterly pointless.

You're just pissing into the wind, trying to pretend to be more important
than you really are. You're not, trust me. I don't know who's been sending
you crap. I have no idea. At least that proves that there are even more
worthless wretches than you, somewhere out there. I congratulate you on
this splendid achievement. You've proven that somewhere out in the
wilderness there are souls that have an even bigger vacuum content than you
do. I applaud your outstanding mail filtering skills. Al Gore (the guy who
invented the Internet) could certainly learn a lesson from you.

> The latter is called "beating your head against a brick wall"

As far as net.kooks go, you still have a long, long way to go before you
even get into the same ballpark as the legends that preceded you. Which is a
darn shame. You've wasted all this time trying to impersonate an immature,
underdeveloped poster child for the American public school system. But the
time for silly laughs is over, and you can stop pretending to be a dimbulb.
You can drop the act now. You can finally reveal to everyone (who are
waiting with baited breath) how smart you really are. I'm sure we'll all be
impressed.

If you're going to make personal (and incidentally groundless) accusations,

I run Linux. According to our wunderkid, I'm sending him MS viruses.

Remember, you heard it here first.

Or at least post some headers.

BTW. Going through the logs, I seem to have gotten a large number of
viruses the other day too. It looks like there is a recent flair-up
of some sort. I think it would be silly to jump to the conclusion
that some one person was trying to infect my computer with an
ms-windows virus because of a heated online exchange.

Well, Wolfgang, it is also quite silly to jump to conclusions without having
all the facts.

Apparently your English is not very good, because I clearly said that I had
noticed an increase in those viruses after every time I provoked sammy-wammy.

I did not say that I had noticed an increase lately.

May I suggest an ESL course?

Not sure why I bother responding to anyone that takes that Sahil bozo
seriously.

And I clearly said (just now) that I had noticed in a worldwide increase of
gut-wrenching laughter every time you post.

So what are we to conclude from that?

Well, *I* don't get any spam, and neither does anyone else that uses MSP.

Which makes *who* the "nutball"?

You don't need a few laughs, friend, you need to get a brain.

Let me guess: You make a living fighting spam? You work for or own a
company that sends spam? Fighting spam is your hobby? You are
invested in companies that send spam or sell spam-fighting software?
You are a spammer?

There are now over 130 people using MY version of the Challenge-Response
system. These are the ones that have contacted me. No telling how many have
just taken it off the newsgroup.

NONE of us get ANY spam at all?

Why do you?

It's easy not to get any spam at all: just stop receiving E-mail. Period.

Because he actually wants to have a functioning E-mailbox.

Look, Alan, if someone wanted to harrass you, he'd fake e-mail from
t...@uwasa.fi because you've obviously whitelisted that address.

The thing is, most people don't care about you. You may have
paranoid delusions, but we'd appreciate it if you'd not share them with us.

You may be unaware that many M$ viruses pick random sender and recipient
addresses. So your conspiracy theories are quite amusing.

Actually, NO. I legitimately sent you a REPLY to a QUESTION you asked in the
newsgroup comp.mail.misc to the last post you made of that title - and I did so
in e-mail since you directed the question only to me. It was not a mail from
whomever it is that has been causing you trouble.

Obviously, you are so screwed up that you can't tell the difference between
legitimate mail and that which is otherwise.

Funny you should say that ... his IP address is in the Tacoma WA area, and
Western Washington State Hospital a.k.a. "Steilacoom" a.k.a. "the loony bin"

Coincidence? You be the judge ... I just use the killfile, and the signal to

Okay. I made a mistake. Can you say the samething about the other 50 or so
that came that day, several with the same subject line?

I just picked one out of the bunch.

Judging from this post, it WAS from someone I don't want to hear from.

Why didn't you follow through? Can't cut and paste a little password onto
the subject line?

Hell, my filters are MADE for people like you: If you just shoot your mouth

I'm sure that your judgement just devastates me.

I notice that you didn't attack my MSP, which given what I see above, you
surely would if you could.

You can't because it worked just great!

I really hope noone thinks that it is unfair to killfile a hypocrite who

generates noise while claiming to be above it.

Add that to the fact that he is too stupid to even REALIZE that he is a
hypocrite, and I think no one with half-a-brain could NOT killfile him.

telephone number?

I'm asking because all the subscribers to this newsgroup should be able to
do that in less than a minute. I don't understand what the delay is.

Come on, Einstein, put your thinking cap on, and let's get on with the show.

A head count? They'd be one short, even when he's there all tucked in his bunk
with the restraining straps.

What password? My system failed to get a rejection message from yours, if
that's what you're referring to (some sort of "challenge" system). Are you
challenge responses malformed? My system promptly kills non-RFC mail.

Then DON'T direct your questions made on newsgroups to single individuals.

From what I can tell, I saw nothing that indicated that you didn't receive my
e-mail because I got no rejection message at all back from you that survived
RFC checking. This tells me that whatever you're doing is in itself non-RFC
compliant and you should be added to rfc-ignorant.org's DNSBL.

Hold on there. You're using too many long words. I doubt that our leading

I have no doubt whatsoever that he has absolutely no clue what you just
said.

See that? It's YOUR headers that were screwed up. And it was rejected by
MY system which does not accept non-RFC mail.

I also have a packet-log and the full headers (MSP saves the full headers of
any mail that's not on the pass or temp list)

and I think I will just put them in a seperate file in case they are needed.

A troll is the least of what you are.

MSP worked PERFECTLY

It looks as if your system is not set up to handle valid headers that you
CHOSE not to support.

Regardless, that does not explain why I never received your alleged error
message back to me....

Actually, it is fitting of you, and you don't need me to say such; others
already have....

Not if there was no error message generated it didn't.

Good advice; use it.

Correlation does not imply causation.

Why resort to tasteless, immature insults against people who oppose your views?

It is funny as hell that every place you post figures out you are a

Why don't you tell them about your commune and how you smoke weed and
are not a part of "our society"? Haven't had a chance to killfile the
entire group here yet? Don't try to deny it cause the proof is in the
archives. probably a hundred such posts from you. Do a search for
misc.survivalism and alan's name for a really good laugh.
