GDay there,

I am about to attempt a mail merge using a microsoft access table with about
10000 records. Will Word2000 handle this easily. I am probably pulling out
about 30 text fields for each record.

Cheers,

Adam

I think it depends on
a. whether you are outputting directly to the printer or
b. merging to an output document (which can sometimes cause large fields to
be created).

I would do a number of tests, e.g.
a. output increasing numbers of records to an output document until I was
satisifed thatmy system was likely to cope
b. use a relatively small number of records to output to the printer to
check that Windows (or the printer driver) is not creating an enormous print
spool file containing all the output before printing anything at all. If so,
you may need to tweak the spooling settings in the Ports tab of the Print
properties.

I regularly mail merge 16,000 labels 21 to the sheet from Excel
database.
