Hi,
I just picked up a rather interesting CD called Eric Clapton - The Blues
Years. This CD has 21 tracks and I bought it because it has 11 tracks
written and played on by Page also with Beck. The tiltles are credited to
Eric Clapton and the "Immediate all stars" I know about the Yardbirds but
never heard of the Immed all stars. Can anyone give me some more info on
this part of Pagey's career?
Thanks
Mark.

Page was 'house producer' at Immediate Records for a period during his
pre-Yardbirds days. The IAS are probably just session musicians, altho
Cyril Davies (one of the founders of British blues scene) I think had a
band called the Cyril Davies All Stars, whom Page is reputed to have sat
in with at various clubs during that time frame also.

Page and Clapton also recorded some informal jams in Page's living room on
a 2 track deck, which were later doctored up by Page at Immediates
contractual insistance, and released to Eric's dismay.
