If there is, it's keeping itself Very Secret.

I have a personal archive of all com-priv messages going back to April
1997. Heaven knows why. Anyone who (1) has a nice routine to take this
treasure trove (in standard *.idx and *.mbx format) and parse it into
files to be accessed via a Web interface and (2) has the storage and
bandwidth to set up a Web site is *MORE THAN WELCOME* to them.

((But no individual requests for me to query this pile of dribble,
please.))

Hi,

I work for PSINet and I have plans to "rebuild" the lists.psi.com server.
These plans include adding a web-viewable archive. The server currently
keeps its own archive which can be accessed by sending commands to
list...@lists.psi.com. I haven't had much success myself getting this to
work reliably.

There is a program called mhonarc that will convert a flatfile containing
standard e-mail with headers into a web viewable archive. I can't promise
a time-frame for implementation but I wanted people to know that there is
at least a plan to do this.

I found at least *part* (most?) of an archive at:
http://www.mit.edu:8008/MENELAUS.MIT.EDU/com-priv/

Current message numbers are in the 32430 range. The first (#1) message
listed in the archive is dated Fri Oct 5 17:23:01 1990.

Hope this helps!
