What old time movie star insists on walking around the set in a dress shirt
with no pants on -- or even underwear? This guy has been getting away with
this for years and laughs at anyone suggesting he put on proper attire. Movie
crews have learned to ignore him and his obnoxious antics, but it's not easy.
When shooting close ups, he likes to drop his trousers and stand there with no
pants on and everything blowing in the breeze.

Just so it's not Sean Connery. I'd hate to think of him exhibiting (!) such
senile behavior.

To me this just screams Jack Nicholson! Remember him getting press about
walking around naked on location in Kansas or something? While he was
shooting About Schmidt I think....He seems like he's got a naked
thing/fetish.

Wasn't it prettty widely publicized that Brando filmed pantsless
during "The Score"?

Here's an old one from Salon:

July 21, 2000 | Put down your sandwich. Today's column contains a
truly hurl-worthy image. Lunches may be lost. Keyboards may be
clogged. Your screen may wiggle and blur before you. Do not say you
haven't been warned.

Here goes ...

Marlon Brando, naked from the waist down.

Liz Smith reports that His Corpulence has been waltzing bottomless
around the set of his latest film, "The Score," possibly in order to
make absolutely sure that the camera captures him only from the
shoulders up. His godfather of bellies, he apparently believes, might
be just a tad too great for public consumption.

Not surprisingly, his exposed nether region has caused quite a stir on
the Canadian set, particularly among his fellow stars, Angela Bassett,
Ed Norton and Robert De Niro, according to Smith.

Imagine that!

Now try to stop ...

I'll guess Marlon Brando.

I have heard this story many times about Marlon Brando. Supposedly he
shoots his scenes naked from the waist down, to prevent the directors
from shooting him below the waist since he didn't want his belly to
show. I think this is an old Hollywood myth, though. :)

I like that guess. He seems to have the idea that he'd be giving others
a thrill.

According to the latest issue of Premiere Magazine, in an article about
the making of the Raiders of the Lost Ark Trilogy, it was stated that
Connery did in fact traspe the set "bottomless" and that Harrison Ford
followed suit. I don't know if this was a continuing effort but Connery
also particpates in the bottomless club.

i did read that sean connery likes to be in towel when an interviewer
arrives and likes to let it slip open.

<snip>

I had thought this was Sean Connery: there have been a couple of posts
about him dropping trou during interviews or shoots, etc. But,
according to IMDB, he doesn't have any projects upcoming. Ditto for
Brando.

Tony Curtis has a film in production with Abe Vigoda. I'm in line for
this one already! Wow! </sarcasm>

And Kirk Douglas is the lead in "The Illusion" about an ailing father
who uses a mystic to help him reconnect with his grown son. This just
wrapped. I'm going with him. He could easily attribute his repulsive
behavior on being a dottery old coot... "Sorry, I've had a stroke, you
know. Whoopsie!"

Well....you convinced me! Brando is a nutcase and I can absolutely imagine him
running around bottomless on a movie set.
