Hello everyone!

I remember seeing in some magazine a Cheat for Chaos Strikes Back.
I could never get it to work, but it was supposed to get the
Firestaff back by casting a spell and typing something about
Libarsulas (sp?) smites thy down, or something like that and killing
a dragon, then poof! The Fire Staff is supposed to be in front of your
feet. Does anyone know this cheat and how to get it to work?
Also, a while back I found a scroll that was in some strange language
and I think it started off with the word Aquatanta or something like that.
Does anyone know what this means? Thanks!!!

Take care,

Michael Rose

The cheat was in the APRIL issue of ST Action. That should give you
some sort of idea of how real the cheat was.

The cheat you speak of, appeared in the April issue of ST-action. Sound
interesting? When you realize it was an april fool's joke? Unfortunately
many people didn't realize this, and the ST-Action offices promptly recieved
hundreds of irate callers who couldn't get the cheat to work. When they
found out it was supposed to be a joke, they were just that much more
irate, because many were long distance callers :^) This is where the
saying "don't believe everything you read" comes in...

BTW, I tried it too... ;^)

Check the date on the magazine that this appeared in... it was the
*April* issue... there's no such "cheat", it was an April Fools joke..

There was another one that gave a BASIC listing that was supposed to
print out the "ultimate" Dungeon Master spell, that would kill anything
that appeared before you... I showed that one to Russ and Wayne from
FTL.. they got a good laugh from it.. running the BASIC program printed
"APRIL FOOL" down the screen...

Another red herring... this was left over from something that was going
to be included in the game, but was left out at the last minute.. don't
worry about it, the scroll can't be decoded...
