Mir-cea [Mir] like in Mir Station or mir-(acle) [cea] like in cha-(pel)
Eli-ade [Eli[ like in Eli-(zabeth) [ade] like in ade-(quate)adequate

have no idea...some people say it is not his real name...check google archive
soc.culture.romanian newsgroup...they say his real name is Elias (Jewish)...
however, Mircea is a national hero - he defeated the turks in i don't know
which century (XV ?)...Eliade most probably comes from Heliade - Hellios ?...
ask "Agamemnon" at <replace.wi...@hello.to (soc.culture.greek); he is
an expert in etymology...
