A little research needed

Hello chaps,

'er indoors has had some problems sending me e-mails from her
freeserve account as they are getting blocked. This is due to my
surname being considered pornographic! We realised this when my nephew
was refused a hotmail account when he typed in his name.

The worrying thing is that I may well be losing e-mails from my web
site. Having realised the above, I suppose using
"reader...@melvynhiscock.com" as an address to send photos of your
guitars to be put on my site was perhaps a little short sighted!

So, can some of you send me e-mails. Especially if you have a hotmail
address or freeserve of something similar. Please use
me...@melvynhiscock.com and copy it to mel...@gxn.co.uk (which is the
ISP host address). If I get both then I know I am just paranoid. If I
get just one then the chances are the other was blocked for obscene
content (as if I didn't get enough stick at school over my name.)

I will reply to all of these as it will be interesting.

Googling for 'censorware' reveals similar tales of woe, including:

BlackPlanet staff instead asked Babcock to choose a different name, and

A fair cop Nog! I was thinking of Scarborough for location and Scunthorpe
for spelling ... (they're not too far apart anyway, I don't think [reaches
for Atlas] ... ahhh .. whoops. )

But with a very *small* ship you could sail up the Humber, then turn left up
the Trent ... :o)
