For anyone who is interested I found out that a room will be opened
tonight (Friday August 15) starting at 6:00 PDT on the mIRC. The address
there is "Friends.Sprynet.Com" and the room will be called "#lightfoot".
Hope to see you all there.

Hi everyone!
Thanks go to vir...@pro-graphics.com for setting up the Gordon Lightfoot
chat room on Sprynet! Nice Job Virago!
Hey I'm new to Internet Chat, but I went and searched on Yahoo and found
mIRC, and in about ten minutes I was on the #Lightfoot chat channel at
Friends.Sprynet.com, It was great, and just only four of us! Even so, I was
up to 2:00 a.m., haveing a great time! An excellent way to chat about Gordon
Lightfoot and make new friends! Please check it out, you just don't know
what you are missing, best of all you can get the mIRC, an Internet Relay
Chat Client all over the web. The IRC network is a virtual meeting place
where people from all over the world can meet and talk about any subject you
can stand to talk about. Below you'll find a selection of mIRC and IRC
related websites which are maintained by IRC enthusiasts. Keep in mind that
websites come and go, so some of these addresses might become outdated at
some time.

Just wanted to thank Random for opening a chat room last night on the
mIRC. I met other Lightfoot fans and enjoyed chatting with them very
much. Looking forward to doing it again next week. I just hope that
someone can figure out how we can all get together and chat. Looking
forward to that time.

Thanx Random.

Nice time on AOL last night--thanks to everyone who was there!

Doug (PLUMBGURU) offered a fascinating take on "Too Many Clues in This
Room". He said he had once attempted to post this interpretation, but good
ol' AOL sent his post to cyberspace never-never land.

However, it seems too interesting to let it go to waste. So this is a
public appeal to Doug to dust off the memory banks and re-write and post it
again. I think people will find it very thought-provoking!

C'mon Doug! :-) (how's that for pressure?)

I also would like to thank all that was at the last chat, it was a good
time. As last time, Shirley and I closed the night, she must be like me,
I feel like I'm missing something if I leave before anyone else. So I
stay until the last word is said. But as usual, it is always worth while
being on till the end of the evening.

I must say, (as Ed Grimley would say) I never gave much thought to the
song (TMCITR), but after reading a little of what Doug had to say, the
wheels started turning. Doug I agree with Derek, if you could dust off
the "memory banks" and rewrite your "original" post that would help us
(mainly me) get all get our (my) wheels turning, so to speak. I am
looking forward to your thoughts on the song.. ( I just want to add to
the pressure :) )

Thanx for the vote of confidence but no credit can be taken here. All
the cedit goes to Random7 ... he's the one who opens the room. I just
tried to get the word out. Hope to see many others there next time.
