You can put a CD player into the tape monitor inputs on an amp. The
levels should match.

Yes, it is. The only difference between the two is the label. Also, in
case you did not know, do not hook anything up to the Phono plugs. This
will sound really bad and mess things up.

Hmm, probably to synchronize recording between the two. So both start
and stop at the same time. Don't worry about them.

Hello George,
Input sensitivity of Tape Inputs is usually the same as CD inputs: Should
be OK for you.
1/8" mini jack for Phono is unusual to me, but for Tape 1 you can probably
use it for directly connecting a portable Walkman or Discman to your
Sansui. Please note that the Phono Input sensitivity and frequency
characteristics are quite different (and incompatible) to Tape, CD or
Video inputs.

This response provides incorrect information. These are NOT inputs. The other
response was correct.

About the "compu select" I think this was a special bus of data Sansui used
to share remote controls. Please check it out 'cause my memory is not what
it use to be.

I have a Sansui amp..Model # Classique A-1130P It also has these Compu
Select connectors..I belive that Sansui Used These As A signat to synchro
for all the components..
Like the other guys said...I really DON'T think these are some type of
input..

On the rear of my amp is has A rectangular black connector (5 pins) And is
labled "Remote control" I found that one of the 5 wires is ground and the
other 4 are the control lines for the Phono,Tape,TunerAnd Cd inputs..I used
4 pushbottons and made a simple wired remote control,I also added a volume
control to it via the Tape 2 Outputs.. Just in case..

Sorry for my ranting..
