Some interesting notes:
- Macross+ follows the TV SERIES continuity
- Macross II is out-of-continuity now. (Yaaay!)
- *Nice* way of explaining why Macross:DYRL has a different continuity than
the TV series. I can see the ads now: "Based on a True Story!".
Of course, all the space scenes were shot on location... ^o^

What's the difference between the TV series and the movie continuity?
(never seen the TV series :-)

More noise, as usual. I can't believe that his holiness Pope Conty
reads this stuff! He should have me in his kill file. So should _you_
MACROSS A FUTURE CHRONICLE.
You can find this list on the end of the M+ LD. Its about
17 minutes.
It gives these dates, then scenes from the TV/movie etc and
introduces the characters.
>:JULY 1999 - A huge mysterious comet crashes into the Earth.
>:FEBRUARY 2009 - Outbreak of Spacewar 1.
>:FEBRUARY 2010 - Rin Minmei plan put into operation.
>:MARCH 2010 - Conclusion of Spacewar 1.
>:APRIL 2010 - Establishment of New Unity Government.
>:AUGUST 2012 - Rin Minmei farewell concert.
>:2031 - Spacewar 1 made into a movie. "Do You Remember Love".
This caused roars of laughter at the event.
>:2039 - Debut of Sharon Apple.
2040 - Macross + starts. ( this is a date mentioned in the OAV)
>:2045 - Encounter with a mysterious enemy.
This is for Macross 7, due to start - October 2, 11am, TV Tokyo(?)
I hope I get my cable TV in time, the current channel 12 reception
is really poor.
its not helped by the sparc2 upstairs either.
Oh, as a side-issue, I use Hi8, so I can't record it for anyone,
Apologies in advance.
>:Parallel Story: - Macross II

this gets a "Wai!" from me too. Although I admit that I enjoyed it,
the word "like" should not be used. Nice music though.

When I watched this at home, I had a chance to appreciate it more,
real ROTFL stuff.
> Of course, all the space scenes were shot on location... ^o^
but, unfortunately, they were unable to obtain original spaceship
to use as extras.

The movie is so unrelated to the TV series that the only proper way
to look at them is as if they were in parallel universes. To me,
the more interesting correlations are all of the little things--
small lines are bits of action which are recognizably similar
between the two. What is an insignificant piece of filler in
one has some story effect in the other and when the line/action
is significant in both the meaning is opposite.

There is no such person as "Kyle"; this person is Lynn Kaifun,
Minmay's brother and manager. Misa is attracted to him instantly
because his face resembles that of Ribar (who was already dead).
