Would anyone know if it's available anywhere? I've checked several
sites and find it listed but unavailable. Is there a recent
remastering or does it not matter? Thank's in advance.

It's on EMI double forte (with Heldenleben), and I think MDT still has
it.

What you want is this, the second CD release, not the earlier one, which doesn't
sound as good:

I've no idea whether it's still available in the U.S.

For things not available in the US, I try a few online sources - MDT, German
Music Express are generally the best.

Thank you. I just ordered it from there. I hope it comes.

Thanks. I saw the older version in a used cd shop and passed it up,
though I'd still like to get it. If the Double fforte version is
sonically superior I'm glad I passed the other one by. So let's see if
MDT comes through with it.

Normally I'd go for a li'l better sound, but in this case I prefer the
older Rouge et Noir...for three reasons: Movement order (Scherzo before
Andante); coupling of Metamorphosen; Giacometti's La clairiere pictured
on the front cover.
