Hello all,

I can buy a visual sourcesafe 6.0c license, but is this the same as
the vss.net edition ??

I want to access sourcesafe through the internet (handy when working
at home)
Does someone know which version of sourcesafe will support this ???

Thanks all, and kind regards,
Andre van Rossem

Hi Andre,

According to me VSS 6.0c is the latest version. I use it myself in
combination with Visual Studio.Net.

The best way to use VSS thru the internet is by setting up a VPN. Other ways
of accessing VSS databases can be done using third party products. You can
find them on http://msdn.microsoft.com/ssafe/headlines/offer.asp

Regards,

Dennis

VSS 6.0c has nothing new for accessing its database through the
internet. Other than a VPN that Dennis mentions, you could try one of
these solutions:

VssConnect (http://www.voxcode.com)
SourceOffSite (www.sourcegear.com)
Sekonden SourceWeb (http://sourceweb.sekonden.se/SekondenITAB.htm)
VSS.net (http://www.dmbcllc.com/products.htm)
