Hi,

I have source safe setup which contains over 1000+
projects (subfolders).

I want to change the working folder on a client (for all
projects) to point from the current working folder on the
server to the local PC.

(In VSS) I have set the working folder for the top level
folder to the local PC and got latest (with recursion &
build tree option).

All of the files are created succesfully on the client.

Problem is (in VSS), not all of the project's working
folders have been updated correctly. Some point to the
local PC, but many others point to the original location
on the server.

Can anyone help me to overcome this issue without having
to change the working folder for each project individually?

Thanks in advance,

Jar

Go to the Users folder for the VSS database in question
and then to the user folder.

Make a backup copy of the ss.ini file and then edit the
ss.ini file.

Get rid of all the entries you see like the examples that
follow:

[$/Registry]
Dir (3fcz00b) = C:\Work\Projects\WSR\registry
Dir (IGMN) = C:\WorkingFolder

[$/WSR_Web/includes]
Dir (IGMN) = C:\WorkingFolder

[$/sjrg_test_Web]
Dir (WSRDEV) = D:\WWWROOT\wwwdev\sjrg_test

That will clear ALL the working folder settings.
