I want to upgrade my server but it only tells me to run 'setup'. Is this
the only way to upgrade Slack?
Thanks
Huub
No, it isn't. UPGRADE.TXT (on the CD) describes a method of upgrading.

The 1st CDROM should have a file named something like "UPGRADE91.TXT" that
tells you how to upgrade a Slackware system to Slackware 9.1.
Read that file, then ask any remaining questions.

I did it with swaret and all went very smoothly.

Like a up2date thing for Slackware... actually included on /extra in
9.1. See http://www.swaret.org/index.php for simple instruction on how
to update to 9.1 or to current

What is Google? Is it faster to type "swaret" in Mozilla as a news
client, or as a Web browser? I'm *sure* it's faster to get results from
Google than from Usenet, probably even if you're using RFC1149[1]
networking. :)
BTW, swaret is on your second CD of 9.1, under extra/.
[1] another search term for Google

Too bad: no swaret installed or to be found on the cd..

As I said it is on /extra. Also I gave you the link where you can
download it. If you need more than that I'm afraid Slack may not be for you.

Wow... I haven't laughed so hard in a while.
Did you see the latency? Not so bad considering birds are involved. :-)
I want to test this now. I wonder if anybody local has carrier
pidgeons?
