How can I print on both sides otf the paper now that I'm
using the drivers from xp. I just upgraded from 98se and
can't print on both sides of the paper. I tried to set
installable options for a printer, but there is no place
to set for 2 sided printing. Any help would be
appericated.

thanks tblade

HP decided not to write updated XP drivers for this discontinued printer.
Microsoft included drivers so that you could still print, but they may not
have all the capabilities you were used to seeing, such as the ability to
duplex print.

You might want to try www.fineprint.com I've heard good things about them,
but not having any HP printers, cannot test its abilities!

I'm sorry, I don't have that many printers in my house to test! I have 3
Canon printers (actually 4 but one is 'retired'), all of which have
manufacturer drivers. The printer drivers on the XP CD are mainly for older
models. Current models should be supported by their respective
manufacturers.

There are 5 articles on the Microsoft KnowledgeBase telling you exactly
which printer drivers are included on the XP CD..... see
http://tinyurl.com/90hf. If you really want to know which drivers are
included, I'm sure you can read them yourself. It would be far too long a
newsgroup posting for me to include here.
