Hi Melissa,
I have an FB 300 on my 65 gal African cichlid tank and have been very happy
with its performance.

From my research (and I've done quite a bit), the Rainbow Lifeguard FB
series are the best FBF's out there right now.

The FB300 should be more than enough capacity for your 120g tank.

Make sure and review the recommended powerheads for use with this
filter, so as achieve the proper flow rate. Also, be sure to figure in
the possibilty of power outages for your area, as I've heard FBF's go
anaerobic much more quickly than UGF's or W/D's.

Now what powerhead should I use withthe 300?

Okay, thanks for the info! I will also have other filters with sponges so if I
have a power loss, I wont have a complete bacteria loss as well.

Thanks

I use a maxi-jet 900 on an FB-300 in my 125g. I've only had it for 2
months but am happy so far.

Melissa,

Here's the link to a page with the info you need. There is a link to
'recommended pumps':
