Hi,
I have bought multifunction printer CANON MULTIPASS L90 in
1999. It was working well with Windows 95 and 98, but I
can't us it since 2000, when I have changed my OS to W2k
due to missing driver for this OS. I have tried, I think,
all in order to get proper driver, starting communication
with CANON, links for downloading of drivers, etc., but I
didn't find it till now. CANON replied that driver for
this printer doesn't exist and is not scheduled and that
this is CANON official statement. I am really very unhappy
from such situation. Printer was not so cheap and if such
problems have other users with other CANON (or others)
products, maybe more expensive, I simply do not understand
their strategy and I do not want to believe that only one
solution is to trash this printer and to buy new one. And
2 years later situation could happen again when new OS
will be issued. Windows 2000 is using maybe 1000 drivers
for printers, but many of them are meaningless because
production of many printers already expired many years
ago. I understand that mainly manufacturer should supply
hardware with proper driver and to update drivers, but I
expect the same from others, i.e. also from Microsoft.
Therefore, I would like to ask you for your help how to
get required driver. Help me please. Vladimir
