Just a clarification for those unfamiliar with this terminology (including
myself until I checked the websites)

SCD stands for "Specific Carbohydrate Diet" and GF stands for "Glutein Free"
(GFCF stands for "Glutein Free Cassein Free") and these diets are targeted
more for the child that has a diagnosis (dx) of Autism and/OR children with
stomach and malabsorption issues OR celiac disease... though some parents of
children with DS alone (no Autism/stomach/malabsorption/celiac dxs) have had
results as well....

I have no experience, judgements or opinions on the subject... just wanting
to clarify the post....

Also, Jamie (the young lady w/DS in question here) has been struggling for
years with these additional issues (autism/stomach/malabsorption) and I have
followed her reports here and there.... and I am *THRILLED* to hear that she
is experiencing some relief (FINALLY!).... so Carol.... please convey my
BEST wishes and prayers to Jamie and Sherri.... I am glad they are getting
some results and I am also thankful that you posted this information on the
list....

Happy Thanksgiving!

Regards,

Shelby :-)
