How do I use the middle button of my 3 button Logitech mouse as a
doubleclick in Windows 98 by editing the registry?

Hi,

Have you verified that this is possible with Logitech. Normally, such
functions are available through the mouse programs that accompany the mice.

Have you tried opening the Mouse program in Control Panel? If I open the
Mouse program and then click on the Buttons tab, I have an option to make
the middle button double-click.

Good Luck,

Start REGEDIT.EXE and navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Logitech\MouseWare\CurrentVersion\
Scan the subbranches for the one, which holds the settings for your
current device and change the entry
DoubleClick
to
0010
here. If this entry does not exist, create it from Edit > New > String
value.
