'ello all,

This is just a quick invitation to view my Tribute to the Women of
Videogaming. It’s a huge collage consisting of various women in
videogaming that covers two huge canvases. I’ve been working on it off
and on for about 5 years, and it’s finally done, and ready to be viewed.
If you are interested, stop by the site and take a look.

Thanks,

Bel

Whoa, that is huge!

Wha...? No Belladonna? Haha! There is that great picture of some
live actress in a french maid's outfit on the box art mockup.

Love that funky Toshinden art. Too bad they didn't use it in the
actual game! I think Rachel is actually spelled Rachael, BTW.

Saw my big favorites, Grace, Shadow, and Cammy.

Faye Valentine in a videogame? Where can I get it?

I've not seen this, what's it all about? The French Maid outfit is what caught my
attention...;)

I think that's another screw-up on my part...as far as I know, Cowboy Bebop...there's no game
out there, is there?

Wow, maybe I really didn't screw up. When I started looking for a CB game,
I never did come across it...and I know I got that pic off some game
preview/review. That's cool, thanks for the info!

Ah yes, the one good contribution made (no pun intended) by the
French! Or make that two, I almost forgot about Pepe LePew.

The picture is all over the 'net. How about:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3528329352&category=27252

And look at those prices! They are full retail and those jokers will
probably get it, too. EA should wake up to reality and just release
the game already.

Wow, does that work in a non-modded PSX?

If you have one of the original PS1s from 1995 it will with the swap
trick. Otherwise you need a mod. Fortunately my 9/9/95 model still
works. It may be the only one. ;^)

I didn't buy mine until 1997 (new) but I can do the swap trick for
imports. Tobal 2 is about the only thing I use it for anymore. I
don't know if it would work with this or not, though. I just wish EA
would release the game already so that we could play it in the PS2.
It would sell nicely for $19.99.

There's a difference between saying some PSx's were defective and the
Sega fanboyish claim that there was a 50%+ defect rate. (Which seems to
be the popular belief lately. Even the PS2... Fanboys make it sound like
there's no such thing as a PS2 that works out of the box. Yeesh.)

Hmmmmmm, now, the swap trick is just pretty much a boot disc? Also, and I haven't looked just yet, so if this
sounds dumb....but can I look on my PSX to see the manufacturing date? That way I can find out if my PSX would
be compatible with the swap?

If you have an older model PS2 (one that still has that I/O port) you
can just get a Gamewizard which enables imports etc without swapping
messes and the like.

Least I think they were called Gamewizards...

It's not a boot disc. I just go to the CD menu with a USA PSX game
then switch the disc for the Japan PSX game (the disc is stopped).
You just need to secure the lid switch so that it doesn't reset when
you open the lid. I don't know if this would work with the disc up
for auction, though.

The company that makes the DC-X also makes a version for the PSX but I
don't know how well they work.

I agree, but at the same time, I have yet to encounter a Sony fan who'll
even admit that there's a defect rate at all. What really bugs me though,
is that there are no reports of what percentage of units were defective, at
all. I can't even find sources to prove that any were defective. So, all
Sony fans do is ask for sources of the defective PS1s or PS2s, and the
discussion's over. Unless I want to point to google and Sony's forum for
user comments on the subject. I just don't get it, every other company
that's had defects in their releases (NES, DC launch discs) has had full
reporting done on the subject, but Sony's managed to come out squeaky clean.

I think Sony said once that a 10% defect rate was acceptable.

That's about the same as the concervative estimates on the NES defects,
which we now know where extremely common. Have you seen any web pages, or
any sources at all, that has any kind of report on the subject?
