This is in the same format as those on http://www.m-plex.com/roads/mpindex.html
. Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Delaware, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New
Jersey, Florida, and Washington have full lists linked from there, including
I/US and US/US multiplexes. So I will not include those states below.
Short bannered routes are not included. Directionally suffixed routes and long
alternates are. In a business/bypass split, the bypass is considered the main
route.
For obvious reasons, this list is not completely accurate. Any corrections or
additions would be appreciated. Most of the information I am using is from
Expedia maps and the National Geographic (Mapquest) atlas. Things I am unsure
about are at the end.
The other inaccuracy is whether roads are north-south or east-west. At the end
will be a list of those that go opposite their numerical designation; this may
not be complete.

Things I am unsure about:
(3) Does 601 use I-85 or US 29 from Concord NC to Salisbury NC?
(4) Has 460 moved to I-81 near Christianburg VA due to the completion of the
bypass?
(5) Have 13 and 17 moved onto the Williamston NC bypass with 64?
(6) Does 301 north get onto I-95 at exit 97 (where the four lane hits I-95) or
exit 98 (where 15 enters) in SC?
(7) Does 17 multiplex with 70 around New Bern NC?
(9) Has the new Elkins WV bypass changed anything?
(10) Does 431 bypass downtown Opelika AL?
(11) Does 82 use I-65 or 31 northwest of Montgomery AL?
(12) Does 412 bypass downtown Columbia TN? Where does 43 end?
(13) Does 70S exist where it multiplexes with 70 in downtown Nashville TN?

So does anyone want to start a US multiplex gallery? :)

Does 71 now use I-540 and I-40, exiting I-40 at exit 13? If so there is a 3SSP
I-40/I-540/71.

Ah - does US 75 now use the bypass? That adds a 2SP 20/75.

Yes, it has for 15 years or so. It's not signed well at all.

But in Fayetteville/Springdale/Rogers, it's I-540/US71/US62 from Exit 62 to Exit 86.

BTW: 540 terminates at Exit 86 and US 71 "resumes"

Yes, it does. US 71 follows I-40 from Exit 13 to Exit 7 (I-540 South)

Did you have 50/56/183 and 50/56/283?

>69A/166/400
Not anymore. 400 was rerouted so that it can not multiplex with both routes
at the same time (a cutoff northeast of Baxter Springs). Now there is only a
166/400 multiplex and a 69A/400 multiplex.

I broke up duplexes into two same-direction routes, two perpendicular routes,
and two opposite routes. Those that you added below are all in the list.

My maps show that 183 comes onto 56 east of the 50 split. Has a new bypass
changed things?
I have 50/56/283. The funny thing is the multiplexes were not affected when the
Dodge City bypass was built; only the locations were changed.

Ah - so 69A continues to use the old alignment, while 400 uses the bypass?
Looks like I forgot to include SP 69A/400, which would be there either way.

US 301 begins its multiplex at Exit 97 while US 15 joins at Exit 98. However
the signage for US 15 is excreable in that area.

Also, US 178 and US 378 have a short multiplex in downtown Saluda, SC.

Greenwood US 178 ---+--- US 378 Lexington
|
Saluda
|
McCormick US 378 ---+--- US 178 Batesburg

I can't remember offhand whether US 178 is signed N/S or E/W, I'll check the
next time I get a chance to look.

Do they multiplex on Main St? Expedia shows 378 using Jennings St.

Its been a while since I traveled thru Saluda (about 13 years). Looking at
the map I see what you see. However, unless my memory is playing tricks on
me 378 used to use Travis Ave. and Main St. instead of Jennings.

US 178 and 378 do not share a multiplex. 178 goes through town with
SC 39 and 121, but only crosses 378. 378 does zig-zag east of 178 so
that it is parallel to 178-39-121 for a couple blocks, then veers east
at SC 194.

(Slap!) Duh! You're right. I forgot that 50 and 56 meet 183 in different
places. My bad.

Yes. 400 breaks away from 69A about two miles NE of Baxter Springs and meets
160 about two miles E of Baxter Springs (the highway runs NW-SE).

400 is one of the ultimate "wrong-way" multiplexes at this point. You have
to follow a curve to the west side of Riverton --- about a mile --- before
curving south to Baxter on "East" 400. Before the bypass was built around
Riverton, it was a bit longer that you had to go the wrong way on East 400
(and due west rather than WSW, as it is now).

S.E.N.
A Parsons 400 bypass might eliminate a 59/400 multiplex in the near future.

77 is now multiplexed from the Dallas junction (I35/40/235) in downtown OKC
all the way to Norman.

You will also want to add the new multiplex in Arkansas of 40/63.

You can add the following in OK and TX
44/277 (Lawton, OK)
44/281 (Lawton, OK and all of 44 in TX)
44/287 (Wichita Falls, TX)

60/64 north of Enid, OK

S - same, P - perpendicular, O - opposite. Technically I suppose an SSP
would also be an SPP, as would an SPO (although there's no provision for
opposing perpendiculars).

These are all there (some as parts of larger multiplexes).

2SS - two parallel routes
2SP - two perpendicular routes
2SO - two opposite routes

Generalize from there.

I always used the one that would give the most S's. There is no opposing
perpendicular since I would do more than just add it if I found a four-way
multiplex.

Where's 1/9, from Iselin NJ to the George Washington Bridge? They're
also 1/9/46 for a few miles west of the bridge, I-95/1/9 from the end
of 46 across the bridge, then 9 turns north on Broadway in Manhattan,
but I-95/1 continues into the Bronx until it turns off on Webster Ave.

Google Maps shows this all pretty clearly. At the west end it may
look like there's an I-80/46 multiplex, but having been there I can
report that there isn't.

Off the top of my head, you missed two in Nevada:
US 93/I-515 (Las Vegas metro area)
US 395/I-580 (Carson City to north of Reno)

In both cases the I- number has no existence apart from the multiplex, and was
clearly only put there to get Interstate money for upgrading part of the route
to a freeway. When I last saw it, I-580 was unsigned except for construction
signs.
