I'm a new fan of Michael's and his performance at the Oscar's tonight
blew me away with it's power, grace, emotion, and pure class. It was
extradordinarily well done. (particularly since he said on the Larry
King show that he would be feeling scared like a "deer caught in
headlights.")
Loved the blue velvet long-to-the-knees long coat and blue velvet pants.
Very classy.
I agree, perfection. (I'm glad he remembered to look directly into
the camera lenses with his eyes......for some reason, he was not doing
that on the Larry King show.....it's so effective)

Thank you for your terrific review! I whole-heartedly agree! I loved the
"eye contact" - it certainly does add to the impact. He seemed very relaxed
and I'll admit after what he had mentioned on LKL, I was fearful he might be
nervous. I was surprised that he wasn't wearing a black tux but found the
very rich blue velvet most appealing and refreshing in a sea of black ties.
I enjoyed the ceremonies very much last night. I felt it was the best Oscar
presentation in years (could it have been because it was Michael's first
Oscar appearance? LOL). I was delighted when Stanley Donner sang and danced
in gratitude; I commented to my son that he is indeed a great and talented
man. Then the camera panned the audience and there was Michael standing and
applauding in tribure to Mr. Donner! Had I been there, I'd have been
standing and applauding too! I was very, very touched by the acceptance
speeches and the moving responses of the winners' Significant Others as
their beloved's names were announced. What a demonstration of love! I can
only imagine how wonder-full the attendees and winners felt afterwards.
Maybe Michael's presence there last night was a blessing! ; ) His
rendition of "Go The Distance" was as perfect an outpouring of love as any
I've ever witnessed! A big, big thank you to Michael Bolton and my own
personal standing ovation - BRAVO BOLTON!!! <3 Linda

Mia culpa!!! That should be "tribute" not "tribure" and "Donen" not "Donner" -
sorry about that! I'm still reeling from a "night to remember!" ROFL <3 Linda
