It is - funny how people consider us to be a different 'race' to the
English. Last time I looked we were all (mostly) of causican extraction
which is the actual racial description. The term 'racism' is used far to
readily these days and seems to have lost its true meaning with the speed at
which people tend to point a finger and cry racism every time someone
criticizes their country.
Political correctness gone mad.

Such is the nature of the concept of 'free speech'.
As soon as you condemn free speech in favour of 'political correctness'
you lose the essence of freedom.
In general terms, those who hold unacceptable views are shown up as what
they are - but as soon as you prevent anyone from expressing views
divergent from your own - then you destroy the concept of freedom.
Free speech allows you to disagree with others views - but to deny them
the right to hold those views is wrong. By the same token, I wouldn't
deny anyone's right to disagree with another's views- to do so again
denies the concept of freedom.

The point is that the old slapper didn't have a point of view,just
naked prejudice.
Basically she is past her sell by date,and the beeb just haven't
spotted it yet.
Would you defend a persons right to claim from a position of power, on
TV that
black people are thick?
Or that asian peoples slitty eyes are creepy?
Of course you wouldn't...its wrong because it isn't a "viewpoint" just
ugly old fashioned racial prejudice.
