Hi

I have a P4 1.6 in a P4S333 and would like to overclock it. The best I can
do is to get the FSB up to 112 MHz. The board has a setting for 133/33, but
the board won't post at that speed. The BIOS says the PCI bus should be
running at 33 MHz. I've tried setting the CPU/Memory ratio at 4/3 and
increasing the core voltage, but it doesn't help. Any suggestions.

u know Intel makes its P4's locked and it is impossible to overclock it
without overclocking
the FSB. when u overclock the FSB the CPU's speed increases as well.

WHat kind of menory are you using.....? AND....what type and rating of PSU
are you using? Either of these will prevent post and/or operation at higher
FSB.

don't use the 4/3 setting use 1/1 because if you use 4/3 your memory will be
running way above spec.

The BIOS has settings of 3/4 (133 MHz Memory-PC2100) and 3/5 (166 MHz
memory-PC2700) CPU/Memory when a 100 MHz FSB is selected. The 4/3 setting
shows up with the 133 MHz FSB, so the memory would be running at 100 MHz.

there is a jumper on the moboard to boost default (cold boot) voltage
0.1v. once that is applied you can add more from the bios.
that should get you a little more from the chip.
