Does anyone have any recommendations regarding the Intermatic Whole House
Surge Protector ($69.95) versus the Leviton Whole House Surge
Suppressor($172.80)? I'm on the fence about whether to spend the extra
bucks.

I posted my experience with protectors a few days ago. I have not had an X-10
or HCS failure since installing the Intermatic protector. I did have a few
failures before, however. I can only conclude it's doing some good. I got my
Intermatic at Menard's ( Home Depot type store ) for less than $50.
