I've looked for this in Word help, but I cannot find it.

How do I insert the "command symbol" (as in a keyboard command) in a
MacWord2001 document?

Thanks,

You can use a Wingdings lower case z.

The place to look for this is in the Key Caps which are under the Apple
Menu. Once you are in Key Caps, you can look in any font (use the font menu)
and holding down any modifier key (command, option, control, shift, or any
combination of the above) will show you what symbols are accessible from
which letters. It's been available to the Mac user for years.

Cheers

Phil

You can also look at Word's Insert/Symbol menu option - it shows all
characters in a font at the same time, and allows you to insert any
character/symbol in a Word document from the dialog. You DO have to look
at different fonts 1 at at time, though.
