Good morning, mister penis-brained barrister! Well, you should have
looked at the proofread version, posted immediately thereafter. I
suggest you take it really easy here, though. You've mentioned my
poetry long enough, you might just tempt me. Since I'm no man of your
kidney, I will not bore and bother the public with postings of my
reviews and publication credits, regarding which you may, if you must,
enquire with my fan and your alleged ex-second Joe Green. Recall,
however, that right now you're merely a big bod Nodwig that no one
gives a frig about, but I can immortalise you by turning you into your
ideal type. You'll be sore. You have no idea, flarf, what literature
can do.

> It wouldn't be a posting from our Phil
> Without his coprophilic doggerel.

When Nodwig comes to town, the traffic stops.
His farts scare away e'en the toughest cops.

> I'm flattered he worked my "butt" into his couplet
> And thus peeked from his homophobic closet.

It's heartening, really, to find a big fat
Nodwig feeling flattered on behalf of his butt.

> What is it with these Russians and their festering
> Fascination with the output of intestines?

Thus Nodwig, who hopes things won't stop at his butt,
entices all takers, and waits with his gut.

> Is it that Phil's turned away the charms of Venus
> And hopes my butt will now devour his penis?

You want a writer? Go fuck Oscar Wilde!
My Venus soon will give birth to my child.

> Sadly (for him) I offer mere disappointment,
> Condemning him to masturbate with ointments.

Though Nodwig never comes without cliche',
his wanks are all legally recherche'.

p.s. Your poem was in my opinion good
(I speak as a collector of such wood).

I couldn't get much past this funny comment -- not only because it
demonstrates the Zelenite capacity for being so easily provoked, but also
because the Zelenite party seems to be confused as to whether I'm a barrister
or a soliciter. (The word "lawyer" is too pedestrian for their deliberately
arcane usage.)

Actually, one of the handiest things about my being a lawyer is that it
obsesses the Zelenites to the degree that it clouds their abilities to
think of anything clever.

>I will not bore and bother the public with postings of my

No, no, you're invariably boring in other ways.

You're not exactly up to my friend Joe's caliber, but I will note that
he's my fan as well and always has been. Go figure.

Skipped the rest of your posting, since it looked as if you were going to
be tediously literal again.

Please excuse my misspelling. I was watching Xena: Warrior Princess when I
posted that last and wasn't paying too close attention.

(I find that watching a little TV is the perfect accompaniment to reading
Philip's or Zeleny's postings -- I recommend this to anyone who's
unreasonable enough to follow our exchanges.)

You're quite welcome. I hope you found my poem as bad as I intended it to
be -- I was, after all, inspired by your own efforts.

When can we expect you to publish your verse in paper? You know, for
money? I'm sure many of us would like to buy a volume.

As I said, you may check with my friend and your alleged ex-second Joe
Green, who might be able to lend you some materials. A good number of
others on r.a.b. and r.a.p. also have copies. Joe's review of my work
appears at the following site, along with other reviews and with info
regarding my publications and where to find them.

http://people.ne.mediaone.net/geneg/poetry/philip/index.html

My first book was almost sold out the last time I checked, but there
may still be a small number of copies left. My second volume of verse
is coming out right now, and the relevant info will appear at the same
site within the next several days.

Hey, cool -- I look forward to buying PN's book. But, really, Michael,
you need to get out of the habit of saying "Duh" -- it doesn't make you
look smart, which I know is important to you.

I'm out of contact with Joe, and have been since 1993, when I arranged for
him to speak at the Third Computers, Freedom, and Privacy conference.
I'd be happy if you had forwarding information for him, though. I had
planned to send him a copy of my book.

Tal, I mean this sincerely -- I think this poem is at the level of your very
best work.
