Graeme, if you're out there, what's up?

Anyway, I find that list interesting because it shows that even the pros
can make mistakes. It doesn't surprise me that Suspended has more bugs
than most of their other games simply due to its complexity. Just for
laughs, here is one of the bugs I found that hasn't shown up in his list.
In Hitchhiker's Guide release 31, AKA Solid Gold, there is one more
survivor from earth. The bulldozer driver survives. How do you know?
Well, any time after you are strapped into the Vogan Poetry chair, try
typing "examine driver." The response is "you see nothing special about
the bulldozer driver." You can fully interact with him for the rest of
the game. Try talking to him, eating him, whatever comes to mind.
Another minor bug in Beyond Zork is that if you are on the pterodactyl,
typing "stand" will respond "you are already standing." Those bugs can be
so much fun!
Sorry, I can explain that. Once I went through all my e-mail archives, made a
list of all the people I'd ever gotten mail from that I still had, and all the
people I might want to get mail from, and made a giant "Allowed List". Then
when the Spam starts coming in hot and heavy, I turn the Allowed List on
overnight, or for a day, and bounce all the spam back, to try to get off their
lists.
Unfortunately the danger is that while the Spam Shield is on, somebody who
isn't on the Allowed List might try to e-mail me. The list is huge, like 200
individual addresses, and some entire domains, but still there's a chance that
someone who isn't on it might try to send mail while it's up. This is the
first time I've found out for sure that it's happened, though.
I did a small update on the list about a month ago, and I really ought to go
through my files and put in what I still have unused.
Has it been THAT long? Okay, I am properly embarrassed. I'll go through my
files tonight, print off the ones I still haven't done, and update the list.
